A jumping spider came to say hello one day, and posed nicely while I got this shot of her.

..image from this Jasmiina's jumping series. This time not so static. Hope you enjoy, and feel free to give c&c.

I'm glad I did not dismiss this male Bagheera prosper as "just another jumping spider." Turns out there were few records of this species where I found it, in Tennessee, USA. Those jaws! Observed along the riverwalk in Knoxville on October 31, 2018.

t is not often that these little 10mm jumping spiders sit still long enough for a focus stack. Luckily this one did. 10-image focus stack, tri-pod mounted. Even though this was at closest working distance (i.e. 270mm), they are so small that I still had to crop a fair bit.

Tiny (4mm) jumping spider (Hypositticus pubescens) Found in the garden in Suffolk UK.

I captured this image of a jumping spider on a south facing kitchen wall in my garden. This is my second outing with my knew macro lens, again chuffed with the result!

This is one image as I couldn't get an in-camera focus stack as the little critter wouldn't stay still long enough!!

Thanks for taking the time to view my images. I am happy to receive feedback.

When these little guys start to re-appear, it is always a sure sign that the Melbourne Spring is not too far away.

Female Habronattus species. Found in the Beartooth Mountains, Montana (Thanks to Marshal Hedin for the ID)

Found this little guy sitting on the edge of our barbecue. A different type of jumping spider to that which I posted a week or so ago, although I have no idea what the scientific name might be,

Jumping sticks are a very thin type of grasshopper (family Proscopiidae). They look remarkably like stick insects, until up close you see they have jumping legs like a grasshopper and this noble visage, which is unmistakably grasshoppery, if a grasshopper went through a taffy-pulling machine.
