Middle East - GCC - Bahrain - Modern Manama City Skyline from traditional Muharraq area
Muharraq (Arabic: المحرق) (meaning Place of Ashes), is Bahrain's second largest city, and served as its capital until 1923. The Muharraq Town was established by the Al Bin Ali Utub tribe as early as the late 17th Century.It has long been a centre of religiosity. The city is located on Muharraq Island. The city's origins are ancient, going back to the time of Dilmun some five thousand years ago, but it came to prominence in the historical records during the era of Tylos when Bahrain came under domination of the Selucid Greeks, and Muharraq was the centre of a pagan cult dedicated to the shark god, Awal. The city's inhabitants, who depended upon seafaring and trade for their livelihood, worshipped Awal in the form of a large statue of a shark located in the city.
Manama (Arabic: المنامة, transliteration: al-Manāma) is the capital and largest city of Bahrain with an approximate population of 155,000 people. Manama has emerged as the capital of independent Bahrain after periods of domination by Portugal and Persians earlier in its history. Today, it is a modern capital with an economy based around the sales promotion industry as crude oil takes a less pronounced role in the economy.

Mongolia is an amazing country and as soon as you get out of Ulaanbaatar you are in the middle of nowhere, where you can use only dust roads with no signs and no idea where you might be heading.
When you travel in Mongolia, you are constantly in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nothing. It might sound strange by it was actually one of highlights of the trip. The amount of space somehow allows the thoughts to flow more freely.
When taking this photo, I could not believe my eyes when I saw this cloud formation on the sky - these beautiful 3 clouds just above 3 hills. I thought that someone might be playing games with me ..

One of six photos taken on my afternoon walk from my condo to Humber Bay Shores Park, ending at the Arched bridge across the Humber Bay River and back home. It took just over an hour, the sun was very hot but there was some relief from breezes wafting over Lake Ontario. Best seen large by clicking on the photo. I added an Icarus filter to this photo.

Sharjah (Arabic: الشارقة) is one of the emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The emirate covers 2,600 km² (1,003 mi²) and has a population of over 800,000 (2008). The emirate of Sharjah comprises the city of Sharjah (the seat of the emirate), and other minor towns and enclaves such as Kalba, Dibba Al-Hisn and Khor Fakkan. Sharjah also claims two islands, Sir Abu Nu’ayr and Abu Musa, with the latter claim being disputed and the island being controlled by Iran.
Historically, Sharjah was one of the wealthiest towns in this region with a settlement in existence for over 5000 years. In the early 18th century Al Qasimi clan (Huwala tribe) established itself in Sharjah, c. 1727 declaring Sharjah independent. On 8 January 1820, Sheikh Sultan I signed the General Maritime Treaty with Britain, accepting a protectorate to keep the Ottoman Turks out. Like four of its neighbours, Ajman, Dubai, Ras al-Khaimah, and Umm al-Qaiwain, its position on the route to India made it important enough to be recognized as a salute state.

One fine morning we friends were tried to take some captures from far away of our home. It was a Village area, A masturd field - there is a way. There I tried to take some captures..This is not an Experimental capture my friendz. I have taken it seriously!!! :-) Anyway we run after some peococks there but unable to catch. hahaha...got some Birds there...near to that field. So after all tries we failed to take good captures.Might be wastage of time on that morning.

Here's my capture of the Super Moon about 1 hour after it came into view and about 1.75 hours after sunset. The sky was not really this dark yet, but I took the photo pretty fast.

The Bulgaria Parliament building is one of major places in the city. It was built in three stages from 1884 to 1928 on plans of the Viennese architect Jovanovich. A motto inscribed on its main facade reads ‘Union makes strength’.
Sofia is not the easiest city to shoot from architecture point of view. There are not many famous landmarks as you find in other capital cities. If you search for photos of Sofia, you mostly get the Orthodox cathedral I posted before. This is dusk at the parliament building which even didnt come up at any photo search of Sofia (I only found out it was parliament building when I tried to find WIFI and one of the networks that came up was called "parliament", I checked the location after and indeed it is a parliament building)

Side is a beautiful coastal resort on the Mediterranean. It is approximately 75kms east of Antalya (one of Turkey`s largest cities) and is located on a small peninsula only 800m in length. In this pretty town, modern architecture, chic shops and late night bars stand in juxtaposition with the ruins of an ancient city. Flanked by two stretches of golden beach, surrounded by the sparkling waters of Mediterranean on both sides and bestowed with the endless archeological wonders. Side's natural geography made it the most important place in Pamphylia from the Mediterranean to Mount Taurus.
The ruins of the Apollo Temple are located near to the harbour of Side. The temple ruins are dedicated to Apollo, god of light, art and beauty. It was built during the Roman Civilization and looks over the ancient port. The temple of Apollo is also surrounded by other important ruins that date back to 7th century B.C. Side was one of the main cities of the ancient region known as Pamphylia that later became Antalya.
