or as i like to think of it overly loud and ridiculously annoying asshole guitar sounds.
so, i give you soft, and sweet lace necklace charms swinging in the afternoon breeze to counteract any seizures and grimaces this song is bound to produce.
ps, it's absolutely impossible to choose a favorite Led Zeppelin song, but if pressed i'd narrow it down to 'Fool in the Rain', 'D'yer Mak'er', and 'All My Love'.

The Deanery and Deanery Garden is a garden designed by Gertrude Jekyll, with a house designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, in Sonning, Berkshire.
Deanery Garden was designed between 1899 and 1901, in the style of the Arts and Crafts movement. The garden (c. 1 hectare) was designed by Gertrude Jekyll. Although in the centre of the village next to St Andrew's Church and the Bull Inn, the house and garden are very secluded, being surrounded by high walls. However, the garden can be viewed from the church tower.
The house was built for the founder of the early lifestyle magazine Country Life, Edward Hudson, essentially as a show home. The house has subsequently been considerably extended on its north side.
The house and gardens, which are now owned by Jimmy Page, guitarist with the group Led Zeppelin.

Can you believe it has been 50 years since the formation of Led Zeppelin.
Hats off to you gentlemen who took the world by storm and gave to us the very best Rock'n & Blues music ever created.
A triumph for those of you who are fans as we at anytime are able to listen or view Led Zeppelin's monumental conquest.
The photo above was taken in 1968 just as the band transformed from The New Yardbirds to Led Zeppelin.
Lower left is John Paul Jones Keyboard and bass guitar virtuoso.
Going right is Robert Plant vocals and harmonica...the very best there is.
Next is The One THE ONLY John Bonham drummer elite.
Then far right is Jimmy Page guitar extraordinaire and also producer of Led Zeppelin.
John Bonham sadly to say left us in 1980...we all miss you John so very much !
More Thanks goes out to manager of Led Zeppelin Peter Grant and to tour manager Richard Cole.
I also would like to say that i was extremely lucky to see Led Zeppelin at the Montreal Forum on February 6th 1975.
I have so many great vivid memories of this concert.
My favorite delight of the night is when they did No Quarter which was truly an amazing experience.

The Gibson Les Paul, one of the world's most popular electric guitars, was inspired by Les Paul's "Log".
Paul's innovative guitar, "The Log", built after-hours in the Epiphone guitar factory in 1940, a 4" × 4" chunk of pine with strings and a pickup, was one of the first solid-body electric guitars.[30][31] Paul Tutmarc of Audiovox Manufacturing Co. built a solid body electric bass in 1935 and Adolph Rickenbacker had marketed a solid-body guitar in the 1930s. In 1941 he created a prototype instrument, known as the Log, which he fashioned from a four-foot wooden board. Paul A. Bigsby had built one for Merle Travis in 1948 and Leo Fender also independently created his own (the Fender "Esquire," a single pickup model) in 1948. Although Paul approached the Gibson Guitar Corporation with his idea of a solid body electric guitar in 1941, it showed no interest until Fender began marketing its Esquire; this later had a second pickup added and became known as the Broadcaster. (The Broadcaster was renamed the Telecaster in 1952.)
The arrangement persisted until 1961, when declining sales prompted Gibson to change the design without Paul's knowledge, creating a much thinner, lighter and more aggressive-looking instrument with two cutaway "horns" instead of one. Paul said he first saw the "new" Gibson Les Paul in a music-store window, and disliked it. Problems with the strength of the body and neck made Paul dissatisfied with the new guitar. This, and a pending divorce from Mary Ford, led to Paul ending his endorsement and use of his name on Gibson guitars until 1966, by which time his divorce was completed. At Paul's request, Gibson renamed the guitar "Gibson SG," which stands for "Solid Guitar," and it also became one of the company's best sellers.
The original Gibson Les Paul design regained popularity when Eric Clapton began playing the instrument a few years later, although he also played an SG and an ES-335. Paul resumed his relationship with Gibson and endorsed the original Gibson Les Paul guitar from that point onwards.His personal Gibson Les Pauls were much modified by him, Paul always used his own self-wound pickups and customized methods of switching between pickups on his guitars. To this day, various models of Gibson Les Paul guitars are used all over the world by both novice and professional guitarists. A less-expensive version of the Les Paul guitar is manufactured for Gibson's Epiphone brand.

Saw these books on sale at a local bookstore and just knew I had to own them. I was actually looking online for Jimmy Page: The Anthology, Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin, and Led Zeppelin All the Songs: The Story Behind Every Track, but they aren't available locally, both in the physical stores and online stores. My only option for those would be Amazon, but I guess, these will be a good holdover for now, because shipping is half the total price of the books lol
I am a Led Zeppelin fan and it was Jimmy Page that really got me interested in listening to blues and playing blues; it opened the doors to the likes of B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry and the like. If anything, he is my all time favorite guitarist eclipsing Jimi Hendrix (I know, that is blasphemous to some, but this is my personal taste). I am in no way as skillful a guitarist as Jimmy Page, obviously, but the inspiration can be heard in some of the songs I write.
Led Zeppelin, although I wasn't born in their peak (I was born in 1989 lol), but when I discovered them when I first started learning the guitar really paved my music taste in terms of songs I wanted to listen to, songs I wanted to learn, and songs I wanted to write moving forward.
Watching their gigs in YouTube back in their hayday really showed 4 absolutely talented musicians playing their hearts out... and it was raw and powerful.
Much like The Cure (my other absolute favorite band), Led Zeppelin's music really spoke to me and got me through tough times.
There may be better, more legendary bands out there; others may claim they plagiarized; and whatever... at the end of the day, they saved me.
These books may not be exactly what I was looking for, but will still be a great addition.

You can debate whether Led Zeppelin is really heavy metal...
For Led Zeppelin IV each member of the band chose a personal emblem for the cover. Page stated that he designed his own symbol and has never publicly disclosed any reasoning behind it. However, it has been argued that his symbol appeared as early as 1557 to represent Saturn. The symbol is sometimes referred to as "ZoSo", though Page has explained that it was not in fact intended to be a word at all.

Led Zeppelin are my all time favourite. When I was 16 my ambition in life was to marry Jimmy Page! Well I was 16. They had broken up by the time I'd discovered them so I always thought that I would never see them play live. Even when they announced that they would play at the Ahmet Ertegun tribute concert I thought that I'd never get a ticket. 20 million people applied for tickets, only 18,000 tickets were available. I didn't get one. But my brother-in-law did, he was taking my nephew. I must say I was so envious that they got tickets but also delighted, especially for my nephew who is 14 and a crazy Zeppelin fan already. Then last Wednesday night my brother-in-law asked me would I like to go to the concert instead of him. I cried like a 16 year old. I couldn't believe my luck. So thanks to my amazing and very generous brother-in-law I saw my idol live on stage and he was amazing.
I can't thank you enough Mark you are the best brother -in -law in the world. xx

[The original album featured an unusual gimmick: the album had an outer sleeve which was made to look like a plain brown paper bag , and the inner sleeve featured black and white line artwork which, if washed with water, would become permanently fully coloured. There were also six different sleeves featuring a different pair of photos (one on each side), and the external brown paper sleeve meant that it was impossible for record buyers to tell which sleeve they were getting. The pictures all depicted the same scene in a bar (in which a man burns a Dear John letter), and each photo was taken from the separate point of view of someone who appeared in the other photos. The walls are covered with thousands of yellowed business cards and dollar bills. The photo session in a London studio was meant to look like a re-creation of the Old Absinthe House, in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1980, Hipgnosis were nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Album Package for In Through the Out Door.]

Grade I listed. Detached house. 1875-81. By William Burges, for himself. Red brick, slated roof. Two main storeys, basement and roof storey. Asymmetrical composition in the Gothic style. Advanced wing to left with gable to road; wing set back at right angles to right. Between the two a round tower with conical turret. Entrance to right hand return with projecting porch. Windows mullioned and transomed; leaded lights and stained glass. Lancet windows to tower. Tall chimneys. Garden wall. Important interiors.
The actor Richard Harris paid £75,000 for the Tower House in 1968, after discovering that the American entertainer Liberace had bought the house but not yet put down a deposit. Harris employed the original decorators, Campbell Smith & Company Ltd. to carry out extensive restoration work on the interior. As the Tower House was unfinished upon Burges' death, it was possible to restore the interior using his original drawings. The house is presently owned by Jimmy Page, guitarist of Led Zeppelin and an avid enthusiast of Burges. It is not open to the public. Page bought the house in the mid-1970s, later commenting in an interview, "I was still finding things 20 years after being there - a little beetle on the wall or something like that, it's Burges' attention to detail that is so fascinating." wikipedia
Unfortunately the house next door has been bought by someone who wants to add a basement to the property to house a swimming pool. The owner of Tower House is understandably concerned that the work will damage his house. There are very few private homes in London that are grade I listed so It's beyond me that Kensington and Chelsea planning department could consider giving planning permission for the pool, hopefully they won't do so. They are the council responsible for Grenfell House.

For someone that grew up listening to Led Zeppelin and never seen the guys live that was half of a dream.
The Foos concert yesterday was brilliant but today was just awesome.
Thanks for the great night...it was worth every penny even if I nearly got squashed to death.
I can't even sleep I am so hyper.
