This is last one, I promise! XP I literally took two side panels off that red boarding craft I built awhile ago and thought "Gee, these would look good as wings"
Enjoy!
The Broadsword was a project I started awhile back when I was first designing the Lancer, I was trying to build a jetpack for it and found some arms form some old Alpha team sets that made a pretty cool thruster pack! However I didn’t feel that the yellow color quite went with the lancer's theme so I set it aside for a later project. After deciding that I did not have any mechs that could accommodate this design I decided to build a new one for the jetpack, one that would be more humanoid (like the lancer) and maybe have a sword. It got pushed to the back of a long line of projects for awhile and when I finally decided to work on it I decided to add a bit of "gundam" styling to the design as well as building the cockpit similar to BT's from titianfall 2,. then I discovered I really didn’t have very many yellow "plating" parts and so I decided to start working in LEGO Digital Designer. Incidentally I ended up designing so much in LDD, I started posting screen shots and eventually renders as WIP pics. This seemed pretty popular on Instagram (you can go see them at www.instagram.com/deadglitch71/) so I kept going until I had built the entire mech in LDD (which is unusual for me). After that I constructed the skeleton to test joint functionality/weighting, made a few improvements to the model and then had to order a bunch of parts to get it plated and finished. The whole experience was interesting, I'm getting used to LDD enough to be comfortable to work in it but its hard to check against my current inventory when designing and I end up using a lot of parts I don’t actually own (I had to make 4 bricklink orders for the Broadsword) but then again it does let me use parts I don’t have so it's a back and forth thing.
I borrowed some design ideas for the sword from www.flickr.com/photos/velocites/ I hope he doesn't mind
I'm not going to make the usual Bio for this mech because I really don’t feel that this one will "fit in" with the rest of mecha, even in a prototype/concept sense like I did with the artillery piece
I did measure it and it would stand at 48ft high, scaled to the minifig (which I made form some exo-force sets to go with the gundam theme)
The Lancer is the standard infantry mech in the Mechanized Armored Battalion it is designed to be quickly adaptable to many situations with an interchangeable back attachments for extra guns, rocket pods, jump jets etc.
instead of built in weapons it was designed with hands to hold premade weapons which can be selected at the last minute when deployed
the Lancer has also has a stand-by AI that allows it to operate without a pilot (in a limited capacity) this combined with the quad split cockpit design allows for easy mount and dismounting in the field.
Mass: 50 Tons
Height: 38 Feet
Speed: 55 Mph
Armament:
the Lancer's equipment is designed to be easily altered before a mission to outfit it for any task, these can range from 90mm assault rifles to experimental plasma railguns.
there are also four main backpacks, a dual pod rocket mount, Mark-2 50mm chain gun, lift kit, and a long range scanner and communication package. these will vary amongst a squadron so any role can be readily fulfilled on the battlefield.
NOTES: the lancer was designed using influences from Titanfall and uses the atlas/ion styling, however it is intended to fit in line with my other mechs and not as a Titanfall mech standalone.
in this version I removed the ejecting cockpit design to remove bulk and reposition the arms, I added a double shoulder and thinned the middle arm furthering the range of the arms, finally I redesigned the lower section of the cockpit giving a better fit and position for the pilot.
the jetpack was redesigned to be larger and ditch the "bunny ear" look it was creating
I made a sidearm and holster that can stay attached at all times

"Cularin... Do not even try to tell me that name again... No one knows what have I done there, and it is good. A few brothers have noticed the changes in my behavior. I must be more careful... I lied in the mission reports... I thought that changing my armour and equipment would make me... less tough? But then, the command gave me another rookie. Jax. Let's see how much is his life worth... I got wind the Darkstaff has vanished. But now I fell stronger. I know how to control myself... And this piece of... E v i l... "

When you try to copy Tyler's photo, but it looks (as always) terrible. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm still too busy to build something, but I hope you like my new Sig, though!

The Pigs vs Ponies group is dead so I thought I might have a go and re kindel a little imagination.

Just a few items from the wave 7 release, more to come.
Will be updated in the future from Lego jetpacks to CAC jetpacks. ^_^
This is my finished Jetpack trooper for my moc I am doing later on. The basic design for the jetpack was given to me by Orrange. I used his base for the jetpack and then created my own on top of that.

The lighting consists of two light sources, one of them an UV-lamp to get the glow effect. Weapons from BrickArms. The torso has a cut official sticker.
Jetpack! JETpack!! JETPACK!!!
My previous build to this was a spaceship that was also a giant backpack, so I decided to roll with that idea and create a super-sized Jetpack to accompany it into the cosmos!
Our protagonist Barry Steakfries (yes, that’s his name) cruised around on his stolen jetpack, terrorizing the scientists who built it. Built for #LEGOGameDuos by @snipersquirrel1 on Instagram.
Neo Classic Space Fleet 2024. Clockwise from left is; Glaive, BacPac, JETPACK!!!, Pierce and the Classic Carapace
My own design for the Jetpack in Halo: Reach. I know it looks similar to a couple of other designs, but I wasn't basing it off any of them when I built it.
This crazy dude was amazing to watch. This had everyone on the beach at a standstill. To get the shots I wanted at the time with the lense I had with me I was in the water so far I could only just keep my non waterproof canon camera above water line. I'm happy it has seem to have paid off

I have a couple of assembled, i.e. used, sets remaining in inventory, and this is one. Decided to get this action shot.
- Part of the Christmas decoration on the central London streets. This angel with a side view looks like one with a jetpack.
one i was the most stumped on how to bring my version onto him
i completly changed the hair with a few recognisable touches, and depending if lego wants to do some exclusive printing to the hair, it can be either just green or green and black (in tribute to how his hair looks in the show)
he uses a dark lavender torso and legs with leg printing for both front and outer sides, he has same arm printing as the mad hatter.
now his toy plane was funt o build, it uses a 1x1 brick with nubs at all sides, a one by one round with a whole in the stud, an axe as a tail and the connecter for a transparent dish, and 2 ice pops as wings. the remote is a 1x2 gray tile with printing
now jetpack joker was a challenge, the minifigure was fine but it was his actual jetpack that STILL stumps me, appeariently it uses one of those wind up key pieces on a neckbracket, and it looks like some lightsaber rods slide or fit in (if anyone can tell me if this is try then that would be awesome) i will send some prototypes tomorrow to see which one you guys like
but other then that, he uses a sorta new torso design but its just the flower erased and added his straps, new face print to, a somewhat winking laugh
after the proto types, i want you to comment what you wanna see, harley quinn or two face?
We just releasing phase 2 Pre jetpack. There will be two color versions, dark grey and silver. For this picture is dark gray version.
Hot-dog!
The incredible speeds the DFA-12 jetpack can achieve necessitated a special helmet with 35mm glass to protect against bird-strikes.
Can you guess, which official set this is inspired by?
Anyways, I build a mech with a large jetpack.
And it fits a minifig.
Decided to experiment with Photoshop more this time around and this was the result. Hoping to get better with future shots.
I've been playing around with different styles of brick built action figures for a long time now. This would be my third type using regular minifig headgear for a closer to human scale figure.
The leg design is based on the idea that he would be able to bend his knees to be seated in some Halo vehicles eventually.
Here are the links to my previous figs.
