Here I was thinking of the moment when Harold Graham flew off the deck of an amphibious vehicle, landed in front of President Kennedy, and threw him a salute. JFK saluted back. A mountains country in a steampunky world has a Ministry of Aerological Affairs, or the casual term "Ministry of Skies". This is the current minister. His job is to handle things like air travel regulations or floating rock inspections. Also a bit of flying around to remind everybody how cool jetpacks are.

He was one of those responsible for putting the convention together. The belt is one on loan; it is usually displayed in the Engineering school at the University of Buffalo.
