I needed a hit of coffee to fend off the jetlag. Luckily, there was a Starbucks near by.
When we went in, the menu confused me. Not that it didn't have English, but in trying to explain that you could add syrups, I wasn't sure how I would get my hazelnut.
My cousin tried ordering for me, but he didn't know what hazelnut was. So I busted out the English and that quickly phased the girl behind the counter.
You could tell that she was not prepared. She was so flustered that when she told us the price, she got it wrong.
I settled for a regular cup of joe. Still just as expensive.
Taken during a jetlag induced early start to Saturday morning on the 26th April 2014, an early stop off an hour before sunrise on the hills of Sausolito overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco, with the changing colours in the sky as the transition from night to day rolled along, with the sun finally breaching the hills in the distance and flooding the bay area with colour.
jetlag, isolation and strange toothpaste seem to be a big part of my travels into mainland China. So is staying up late.

Day 1: Dublin, Ireland
Arrived in Dublin at 4:30am Ohio time, 9:30am Ireland time. Couldn't sleep on the plane. Completely exhausted.
It took us approximately 20 hours to get from Sweden to Japan and when we finally got there it was morning but we couldnt stay awake. This is the view from our bedroom in Asakusa (Tokyo), where we stayed at a really nice ryokan.
Jetlag can be useful - when you're awake at 1am because your body thinks it's 9am you have plenty of time for a four mile walk across town to be in position for sunrise! This is the view from Twin Peaks about ten minutes before sunrise. Already there are hundreds of cars flooding into the city across the Bay Bridge yet Market St is almost deserted.
This is how it came out the camera... Can you guess what I did and where to take the shot? LOL No post-production apart from the frame...
