The Ecole de Transition Opérationnelle (ETO) at Cazaux has been operating the Alpha Jet since 1982. These jets replaced the Mystere IV's of which one is on a pole on the base - also visible on this photo.

Jet landing? What?
Charlevoix, Michigan has an airport where planes and smaller jets fly in every day. The runway location is situated in a way that planes have to fly over the south side of the town. I just happened to be heading south on the main drag, about to cross the bridge, when I took this pic of pretty downtown. Lo and behold, a jet was about to land. If you zoom in, you can see it.
(The plane is in this pic twice. Can you see it?) 😉
I don't know if the vapor trails left behind by planes are good or bad but personally I love how they can be so beautiful.
Perlan World of Wonder Museum
ReykjavÃk, Iceland
This past October, I arrived in the morning in Iceland after a 12 plus hours of air travel. So I decided to take a bus tour around the city before checking into my hotel later that evening. One stop was at the Perlan. Pretty cool museum. Unfortunately, I fell asleep during the aurora planetarium show. Sign of things to come. No chance to see the aurora due to cloud cover and rain. But at least I got this rainbow.
