this is what i wore on friday, when I was off sick and really not feeling with it at all. I tried to cheer myself up by wearing bright colours, it didnt make me feel better but at least I looked good. Like an eighties artist dave says. I suppose that's sort of a compliment.

anyway, dungarees! I've been looking for them for ages and I found this dress. I'm not supposed to buy anything clothing related until february (wardrobespace is getting increasingly scarce) but the dress was in the window of a charity shop I walk past on my way to work so I suppose it was destiny. The shop didn't have changing rooms, so i had to buy it in the hope that it fitted. It's pretty tight round the hips, but I don't think it shows too much.

dungaree dress is from barnados charity shop, the jumper, bag, velvet trousers and shoes are from various shelter charity shops around edinburgh, the earrings are from a swap and the bracelet a gift from my sister. button badges are from concerts (blur and the music) and the middle one came free with something I bought from etsy seller littleoddforest.

Igloo built in a front garden

equal parts tough and great.

tough=another day of sitting around the hospital, missing out on the flight for the weekend trip I was supposed to take, the nth day without a shower, being told I looked exhausted, hearing another mom sobbing in the hallway.

better=free sandwich day for cardiac families (odd, but nice). this sunrise.

great=working our cards, making an early breakout in the evening. home to sleep in our own beds.

Grave of Harry Leon Collins, a magician who worked for Frito Lay for many years as "Mr. Magic". The magic word for his tricks was "Frito Lay!"

The temperature with a strong wind was around 50 degree so We put on the Fur Coats .

I've been working from home today so enjoyed a late breakfast of houmous on soya and linseed toast whilst tapping away on my laptop.

This afternoon I nipped out to collect my new car. I was supposed to fetch it tomorrow but the forecast is for snow so I called the dealer to ask if I could collect it today. I suspect it will now sit on the street for the rest of the week due to the aforementoned snow.

My daughter set up her toys around the food so they could eat lunch! She's two!

Happy New Year 2017 Everyone!

Common elm - choosing a new pot for it. Turned out the soil was ice...no repotting then.

Barefooted brother, sipping his morning coffee.

My dad died this morning, very suddenly. This picture was taken on my phone and its what i feel like - bleak and all tangled up.

RIP Dad I love you and i'm sorry i never got the chance to say so.

In a really ugly mood right now, was really struggling to take a half decent photo and ended up taking this...technically not good yada-yada but there you go.....not in a great mood if you can't tell haha

More fun at the Glasgow Science Centre. Our annual passes run out at the end of the month so we're making the most of them!

So John Barrowman asked me if I wanted a pic or a "selfie". I said "neither" and introduced him to Victini :p

Taken on Corney Fell today - the sign I missed said "Road Closed" so it was a tad exciting up there!
