Down by the river the eastern shore is completely a frozen wonderland yet the western shore is completely untouched.The frost is caused by the cold westernly wind and the mist from the dam upriver.

I took myself out for a walk at lunchtime to play with my new Lensbaby and to freeze my bits off! I can see it's going to take a bit of practice to get to grips with this thing, but it's good fun/frustrating trying. Thank goodness for focus peaking! This was using the velvet lens, which has given everything quite a glow

After a stressy day where things just went horribly wrong - from Angus being poorly to my smaller drone's software update crashing half way through, bricking the device, I managed to drop Lachlan off at Scouts in Kirkhill and then headed into the city to take a couple of night scapes that have been on my list for a while.

This one worked quite well I feel.

Dundreggan Reservoir sits in Glen Moriston, on this occasion much of the water was frozen as a snow shower pushed in from the west.
