This is part of the SOAS campus in King's Cross. Apparently it used to be a school - I think it looks like a workhouse.

Tried out my new smoothie maker today. Peanut butter, frozen banana and semi skimmed milk. Recommended!

The Lion Mound and the site of the future memorial building are covered with snow

I'm going with a slighter different scheme this time around and blanket stitch applique. Fingers crossed that I can pull it off!

I came home cold and tired and was grateful for the big pile of pinecones that helped create instant warmth. Sometimes it's the little things that make all the difference...

We have been a bit busy with other things, but we do have things to show for this past month.

These socks while various sizes are some of the things made this past month. The dollar bill of course is for reference in size.

Most of these socks will fit between a size 7-9 foot ladies, or 6-8 mens.

The other items in this photo are leg or wrist warmers. They are a more recent experiment with the circular knitter I have been using, and have been found quite useful when the weather gets colder, as it has been doing this last fall and winter.

The size range for them is one size fits most. That is noted because I have met some who the circumference on them is simply not large enough.

The world was watching. So was Tom.

Its all very tiring for Brandy! This is my little Japanese Spitz puppy, she is now about 5 months old :)

Our promised snow has arrived. It is soft and wet - perfect snowman snow. It won't be around long though. By mid-week they are forecasting a warm front moving in and a change over to rain. Before that happens we may get one more shot of snow - maybe even significant snow - before this system is done with us. Winter weather in Seattle is never dull.

texture from Kim Klassen

Trust - two layers :: color burn and soft light.

Those two blending modes have been my standbys of late. The color burn adds just a bit of richness and the soft light smooths everything over.

Janeiro já se foi e passou tão rápido, mas foi muito bom também (:

e que Fevereiro seja assim, ótimo e cheio de amor..

Feeling a bit meh about today's photo... This was during the calm before the storm (also known as a play date with two friends for the girlchild). Actually there wasn't really a storm...they played nicely together and required minimal supervision.
