This was the easiest welt-pocket I've ever constructed. Mine didn't turn out perfect but these were the first two I ever made after all. Wonderful!

This is a jacket I made with some fabric remnants I found in Sweden. The yellow is a fleece; the lining is a flowery cotton knit and the trim is the same fabric in a white colourway but cut into a strip to use as trim. This was my first Ottobre pattern and the directions were in Swedish, which made it pretty challenging :-) but I love the way it turned out. It's a present for my niece.

Andrew chose a tapestry (of Millais's potato sowers) that I had around rather than a piece of cloth to use as patches. I over dyed it dull blue a bit.

I added waist shaping (copied from a favorite hoodie), a fake seam (stolen from EZ's Bog Jacket) down each side, and a small underarm gusset. Will be adding short rows to sleeve caps like Jared did. All of this is in an attempt to not make a dumpy sweater.
