A spring coat sewn by me using Peekaboo's starboard jacket pattern. Outside is a Gor tex like windproof fabric, Care Bear print is a quilting panel, inside is lined in dotted flannel,--hidden inside is a layer of fleece....it zips up and has cute kangaroo pockets
Convinced my girl friend to be my model for the day, trying my hand at more silhouette type shots. Told her to swing my jacket over her shoulder and this is what became of it.

As a kid, I always admired older teens with elaborately decorated leather jackets in New York. They were popular, as I grew up in Manhattan in the 1970s. I bought a motorcycle jacket at some point and always meant to decorate it. That I didn't really get started until now is sort of silly. But, I was in the midst of a "thirty days of making" marathon, and it seemed like a good time to get started. Is it ever too old to DIY?
These are from the sleeves — there are two triangular patches behind the zippers at the ends of the sleeves, and these seemed like good places to experiment.
