To all the the Orthodox Christians,
Wishing you and your family the renewal of life, love, and happiness. Have a blessed and wonderful Easter!
Despite the difference in dates, Easter, as in western Christian churches, is the holiest time of year in the Orthodox Church; a time when they commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. So the inherent meaning of Easter is the same in both denominations.

You Are My King (amazing Love)
I'm forgiven because You were forsaken
I'm accepted, You were condemned
I'm alive and well, Your Spirit is within me
Because You died and rose again
I'm forgiven because You were forsaken
I'm accepted, You were condemned
I'm alive and well, Your Spirit is within me
Because You died and rose again
Amazing love, how can it be
That You, my King, should die for me?
Amazing love, I know it's true
It's my joy to honor You
In all I do, I honor You
I'm forgiven because You were forsaken
I'm accepted, You were condemned
I'm alive and well, Your Spirit is within me
Because You died and rose again
Amazing love, how can it be
That You, my King, should die for me?
Amazing love, I know it's true
It's my joy to honor You
In all I do, I honor You
You are my King
You are my King
Jesus, You are my King
You are my King

ステンドグラスに表現されている手は神、中央にイエスキリスト、神の手から伸びる3本の光は精霊を表している。
下部にはリンゴ、ドクロ、魚などキリスト教にとって意味のあるものもステンドグラスで表現されていました。
The hand that has been expressed in the stained glass is God, central to Jesus Christ, the three of light extending from the hand of God represents the spirit.
In the lower apple, skull, even those that are meaningful to Christianity, such as the fish had been represented in the stained glass.

Entitled Christ Rests in Peace, the dramatic sculpture of Christ’s head with crown of thorns, is the result of over 20 years work on the face of Jesus by acclaimed British sculptor Nic Fiddian-Green.
The giant eight-foot head, cast in lead with a gilded crown of thorns, was on display in front of the high altar during Lent and the Holy Week.
It is powerful not just because of its sheer size but also because when you look beyond the thorns you see the humanity in the face of Christ, says Andrew Nunn, Dean of Southwark.
Almighty God's words "How Peter Came to Know Jesus"
www.holyspiritspeaks.org/videos/word-how-peter-came-to-kn...
Introduction
Almighty God says, "During his time following Jesus, he had many opinions of Him and always judged Him from his own perspective. Although he had a certain degree of understanding of the Spirit, Peter was not very enlightened, hence his words when he said: “I must follow he who is sent by the heavenly Father. I must acknowledge he who is chosen by the Holy Spirit.” He did not understand the things Jesus did and received no enlightenment. After following Him for some time he grew interested in what He did and said, and in Jesus Himself. He came to feel that Jesus inspired both affection and respect; he liked to associate with Him and stay beside Him, and listening to Jesus’ words rendered him supply and help. Over the time he followed Jesus, Peter observed and took to heart everything about His life: His actions, words, movements, and expressions. He gained a deep understanding that Jesus was not like ordinary men. Although His human appearance was exceedingly ordinary, He was full of love, compassion, and tolerance for man. Everything He did or said was of great aid to others, and by His side Peter saw and learned things he had never seen or had before."

Matthew 28: 5-6 (KJV)
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

"In Christian theology, the Harrowing of Hell (Latin: Descensus Christi ad Inferos, "the descent of Christ into Hell" or Hades) is an Old English and Middle English term referring to the period of time between the Crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection. In triumphant descent, Christ brought salvation to the souls held captive there since the beginning of the world."

LOVE CAN BUILD A BRIDGE – CHER, CHRISSIE HYNDE & NENEH CHERRY with ERIC CLAPTON
ANGELS & PRAYERS
From childhood I have said my prayers
and no-one is forgotten
I pray for those I knew before
I pray for those as often
as the ones I pray for in this moment
the ones I know today
everyone needs hope and love
to ease our paths; our way
pray with me now; pray Christmas Day
and all the days to come
that we shall all know peace and love
and all come safely home
In church today I met a lady
so kind; so open; warm
her light shone brightly in her smile
her demeanour tranquil; calm
twice in my life I met someone
whose aura I could bathe in
who left me feeling loved; serene
who washed away my sins
angels come in many guises
some clear and some obscure
but welcome all with open eyes
let heart and soul procure
the goodness that we know exists
the lightening of our road
no need to suffer; no need for silence
a trouble shared will ease the load
the incredible lightness of being we yearn for
can be ours for the asking
so always walk in good; in light
and never fear the darkness.

One out of a series of 10 photographs I took of the Crucifix suspended above the altar of Westminster Abbey, Mission, B.C. *
For all its ornateness, it's not a work of art that seems to go with the simpler abstract stained glass windows that surround it. And yet the more time I spent gazing at it, and trying to determine good angles to photograph it, and 'capture' its 'essence', the more I saw a complexity of 'interpretations' of this figure on the Cross.
Depending on the angle one view it, one can discern a kind of inner movement within the static form--rather like the movements of Tai Chi, e.g. With eyes closed, the crucified one seems to go inward to find strength, a kind of centring that comes with meditation. And all the while suspended between Earth & Heaven, reflecting the glorious colours of the Light.

* A colleague from way back enrolled in a photography course, and the first assignment was to take a roll of film of one tree. He thought, a tree's a tree. How can I take 36 photos of one tree? But then the 'light bulb' went off in his head and he began to really see the tree.
Whatever our subject, can we begin to really see it, to study it, to simply be with it, to learn from its very essence? The challenge is to keep looking through the lens, closer, farther away, from different angles, in different light, with various backgrounds for context.
And so, this is what I attempted to do at the Abbey one afternoon. I felt went away with much more than I expected. It turned out to be a meditation of its own. Something photography offers us as a sheer gift of the time we might devote to it!

The battle was years long, but courageously and even cheerfully fought. Yesterday afternoon the cancer won. The cancer took her from us, but Leta was a lady of the deepest faith in Jesus Christ and of the highest Christian Character.
Perhaps Tuesdays sunset, the last sunset of Leta's journey through this life, was a little sample of the eternal Beauty, Glory, Peace and Joy she has now entered.
She was a friend dear to me and so many others.
Cristo Redentor is an Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, created by French sculptor Paul Landowski and built by the Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with the French engineer Albert Caquot. Romanian sculptor Gheorghe Leonida fashioned the face. Constructed between 1922 and 1931, the statue is 30 metres (98 ft) tall, excluding its 8-metre (26 ft) pedestal. The arms stretch 28 metres (92 ft) wide.
The statue weighs 635 metric tons (625 long, 700 short tons), and is located at the peak of the 700-metre (2,300 ft) Corcovado mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park overlooking the city of Rio de Janeiro. A symbol of Christianity across the world, the statue has also become a cultural icon of both Rio de Janeiro and Brazil, and is listed as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It is made of reinforced concrete and soapstone.

Gospel hymn | A Hymn of God's word | Pure Love Without Blemish
I
Love is a pure emotion,
pure without a blemish.
Use your heart, use your heart
to love and feel and care.
Love doesn't set conditions
or barriers or distance.
Use your heart, use your heart
to love and feel and care.
If you love you don't deceive,
grumble, turn your back,
look to get something in return.
If you love you'd sacrifice,
accept hardship
and be one with God in harmony.
II
In love there's no suspicion,
no cunning, no deceit.
Use your heart, use your heart
to love and feel and care.
In love there is no distance
and nothing that's not pure.
Use your heart, use your heart
to love and feel and care.
If you love you don't deceive,
grumble, turn your back,
look to get something in return.
If you love you'd sacrifice,
accept hardship
and be one with God in harmony.
III
You would give your family,
youth and future you may see,
give your marriage up for God;
you would give your all for Him.
You would give your family,
youth and future you may see,
give your marriage up for God;
you would give your all for Him.
Or your love's no love at all,
but deceit, betrayal of God.
IV
Love is a pure emotion,
pure without a blemish.
Use your heart, use your heart
to love and feel and care.
Love doesn't set conditions
or barriers or distance.
Use your heart, use your heart
to love and feel and care.
