A beautiful, lighten up Church in Panjim, Goa, India at night

The Church is located in the centre of the city of Aberdeen and is at the heart of the local community. Founded in the mid 19th Century, St. Margaret’s continues in the ethos of Episcopalian High Church.

The Gallowgate was one of the poorer areas of Aberdeen and in the mid-19th Century consisted of a large area of slums. St Margaret's was founded in 1867 as a mission church by Father John Comper, one of the first followers in Scotland of the Oxford Movement. Comper was at the time rector of St John's, Aberdeen's oldest Anglican congregation. Comper felt that the poorer areas of Aberdeen were not being reached by the Church and felt obliged to respond, firstly in 1863 by founding St Margaret's Convent on the Spital and then the Gallowgate church.

The original church was a room rented by Comper on the Gallowgate. By 1870, a joint chapel-school had been consecrated and Comper had resigned from his post at St John's and become full-time priest to the newly formed St Margaret's parish. The architect was James Matthews (1819-1898). In 1879, a separate school was built followed by the St Nicholas chapel and rectory in 1898 and 1906 respectively, designed by Comper's son, Ninian Comper. A separate church hall was built in 1908.

Now Watergate does not bother me

Does your conscience bother you? tell the truth

This famous line means allot of things to allot people. I think of meathead. If you get that reference my hat is off to you. Meathead and the bunker had many arguments about the current crook at that time.

I am told everyday that JC represents love, forgiveness, a new start. Say what you want. I don't see it. I am not saying it is not there but you have to look good and hard to see it. And I am talking about the believers, not the non believers.

All this hate the spews out of believers mouths. Is that the world we want to live in? I am not saying anything bad or judgy about JC. When believers try to emulate their savior the world is a better place.

But really is this what Jesus would do? Not the JC everyone try's to tell me about and make excuses for all the insanity.

I have a very good friend. He truly walks his walk. Today is his Sabbath until dusk, which he honors every Sabbath. Maybe, Today is the day to think about your relationship with JC.

I, being a non believer, have been told more times than I can count, I was one of the best Christians' they know. Being expressed that they wish more Christians' were like me. Take it at that. I don't know what that means.

Today I am reflecting on love, understanding and acceptance. Me, the non believer that your parents warned you about.

Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde (en provençal, Nouestro-Damo de la Gardo), souvent surnommée « la Bonne Mère » (la Boueno Maire en provençal), est une des basiliques mineures de l'Église catholique romaine. Elle est située à Marseille, à cheval sur les quartiers du Roucas Blanc et de Vauban, sur un piton calcaire de 149 mètres d'altitude surélevé de 13 mètres grâce aux murs et soubassements d'un ancien fort. La colline Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde constitue un site classé depuis 1917.

Construite par l'architecte protestant Henri Espérandieu dans le style romano-byzantin et consacrée le 5 juin 1864, elle remplace une chapelle du même nom édifiée en 1214 et reconstruite au xve siècle. Bâtie sur les bases d'un fort du xvie siècle construit par François Ier en 1536 pour résister au siège de Charles Quint, la basilique comporte deux parties : une église basse, ou crypte, creusée dans le roc et de style roman, et au-dessus une église haute de style romano-byzantin décorée de mosaïques. Au sommet d'un clocher carré de 41 mètres de haut surmonté lui-même d'une sorte de tour de 12,5 mètres qui lui sert de piédestal, se dresse une statue monumentale de 11,2 mètres de la Vierge à l'Enfant réalisée en cuivre doré à la feuille.
