A blessed, beautiful New Year to all, from my new back yard shed!
The Brown Scapular is one of the most popular sacramentals in the Catholic Church, combining the faith of the wearer with the promises of Our Lady. I like to think of it, respectfully, much like the Rosary, as a sort of tin can telephone to God. He who wears the scapular over his shoulders proclaims his devotion to God and to Our Lady and in practice he echoes the habit of the Carmelite Order, the custodians of this devotion.

Introduction
Second Coming of the Lord | Christian Song | "The Substance of Christ Is God"
I
God who becomes flesh is called Christ, so the Christ that can give people truth is called God. It is not too much to say like that. For He possesses the substance of God. He possesses God's disposition and wisdom in His work, which are unreachable by man. Those who call themselves Christ yet cannot do the work of God are frauds. Christ is not merely the manifestation of God on earth, but the particular flesh assumed by God, as He carries out, completes His work among man. Christ is not merely the manifestation of God on earth, but instead, the particular flesh assumed by God, as He carries out, completes His work among man.
II
This flesh can't be replaced by just any man. This flesh can adequately bear God's work on earth. This flesh can express the disposition of God, can well represent God and provide man with life. Those who pass themselves off as Christ, sooner or later will all fall. For although they call themselves as Christ, they possess none of the substance of Christ. So God says that the authenticity of Christ cannot be defined by man, but this is answered by God Himself, and this is decided by God Himself. So God says that the authenticity of Christ cannot be defined by man, but this is answered by God Himself, and this is decided by God Himself. So, if you truly wish to seek the way of life, you must first acknowledge, it is by coming to the human world that He bestows on man the way of life. It is during the last days that He comes to the world to give to man the way of life. He bestows the way of life on man by coming to the human world. Not the past; it is happening today. It is happening today.

The Papal Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican (Italian: Basilica Papale di San Pietro in Vaticano), or simply Saint Peter's Basilica (Latin: Basilica Sancti Petri), is a church built in the Renaissance style located in Vatican City, the papal enclave that is within the city of Rome.
Designed principally by Donato Bramante, Michelangelo, Carlo Maderno and Gian Lorenzo Bernini, St. Peter's is the most renowned work of Renaissance architecture and the largest church in the world by interior measure. While it is neither the mother church of the Catholic Church nor the cathedral of the Diocese of Rome (these equivalent titles being held by the Archbasilica of Saint John Lateran in Rome), St. Peter's is regarded as one of the holiest Catholic shrines. It has been described as "holding a unique position in the Christian world"[3] and as "the greatest of all churches of Christendom".
Catholic tradition holds that the basilica is the burial site of Saint Peter, chief among Jesus's apostles and also the first Bishop of Rome (Pope). Saint Peter's tomb is supposedly directly below the high altar of the basilica. For this reason, many popes have been interred at St. Peter's since the Early Christian period. A church has stood on this site since the time of the Roman emperor Constantine the Great. Old St. Peter's Basilica dates from the 4th century AD. Construction of the present basilica began on 18 April 1506 and was completed on 18 November 1626.
St. Peter's is famous as a place of pilgrimage and for its liturgical functions. The pope presides at a number of liturgies throughout the year both within the basilica or the adjoining St. Peter's Square; these liturgies draw audiences numbering from 15,000 to over 80,000 people. St. Peter's has many historical associations, with the Early Christian Church, the Papacy, the Protestant Reformation and Catholic Counter-reformation and numerous artists, especially Michelangelo. As a work of architecture, it is regarded as the greatest building of its age. St. Peter's is one of the four churches in the world that hold the rank of major basilica, all four of which are in Rome. Contrary to popular misconception, it is not a cathedral because it is not the seat of a bishop; the cathedra of the pope as Bishop of Rome is at Saint John Lateran.

The Importance of the Word of God | "Knowing the Three Stages of God’s Work Is the Path to Knowing God" (Part Two)
www.holyspiritspeaks.org/videos/knowing-the-three-stages-...
Almighty God says, "The three stages of work are at the heart of God’s entire management, and in them are expressed the disposition of God and what He is. Those who do not know of the three stages of God’s work are incapable of realizing how God expresses His disposition, nor do they know the wisdom of God’s Work, and they remain ignorant of the many ways in which He saves mankind, and His will for the whole of mankind. The three stages of work are the full expression of the work of saving mankind. Those who do not know the three stages of work will be ignorant of the various methods and principles of the Holy Spirit’s work; those who only rigidly stick to doctrine that remains from one stage of work are people who limit God to doctrine, and whose belief in God is vague and uncertain. Such people will never receive God’s salvation."

as a child, grass mostly meant yard work to me. Yes, I mowed a LOT of grass. We had a huge yard, and that's no exaggeration. Think about two football fields worth. We had some acreage, and my dad liked extending the yard another row or two regularly. btw, other than extending the yard, my dad didn't do any of the mowing. Yes, it was kind of nice having this huge yard to play just about any kind of sport on, but I never ever really appreciated the beauty of grass until I got to see it mature. I'd bet souls are something like that.
If you want to get the full gist of this shot, you will have to look at it full screen. Thumbnails should be banned.
At its core, the message of the cross is that Jesus Christ, God's own Son, willingly suffered and died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. As it says in Romans 5:8, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

A blessed, beautiful, happy Easter to ALL!
I have discovered I uploaded this picture for Easter, 2018, but the sentiment and celebration remain the same for this Easter.
I like to get up and be out in nature at sunrise on Easter morning. As a Christian this day is an incredible celebration of Jesus rising from the dead. There is a bit of irony in this photo as it is situated in the "Badlands." Easter Sunday or Resurrection Sunday (I prefer) is a reminder to me that my relationship with Jesus is not based on me being good or bad, but what Jesus did on the cross and also rising from the dead. My relationship with Jesus is all about Him and what He has done. It is a gift I just really need to accept. Thank you Jesus.
