Chrissy Teigen looks glamorous at a political fundraising event in Los Angeles. Chrissy is a woman of action: though some people only think of her as a fashion model and Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition cover girl, she has written a best-selling cookbook, "Cravings," been a food stylist for a TV show, and co-hosted a show, in addition to being a wife and mother.
In June, she attended a protest against the Family Separation Policy: "Under the policy, federal authorities separated children from their parents, relatives, or other adults who accompanied them in crossing the border, whether apprehended during an illegal crossing or, in numerous reported cases, legally presenting themselves for asylum" (Wikipedia), The policy was halted by a Federal Judge. Before then, Chrissy had already taken a stand.
*This doll is not marketed as Chrissy Teigen but I think she looks so much like her, Chrissy must have been an inspiration.
Festive Decadence Agnes got a make over. Top and Skirt are both from Joe Tai. Leather girdle is from Eve Kitten. Lace stocking, bracelet, and shoes are from FR Trick of Trades. Earrings and necklace are from FR Regal Solstice. Faux Fur Jacket from Dynamite Girls.
The documentary will feature his career in designing dolls. Also, next year’s convention will be in Baltimore.
Just after the Legendary Convention, I mean the day after it was finished, was announced the brand new doll made by Jason Wu for the 20th Anniversary of Net A porter ... I was so not happy about this as how would I explain to my husband that I need, again, to spend hundreds of dollars for just one doll when I already spent so much during 3 days for many dolls ... So I decided not to care about her ... and didn't see that one of my friends tried to contact me at 6 am to tell me the doll was live on the NAP website ... so I missed her, of course ... So I tried to find her all the flaws I could ... she has too much attitude, her eye make up is too much, her lipstick is too dark ... well, now she was too expensive to get anyway ... so I tried no to care about it, again ... and then I saw pictures of her, again, and again ... and that dress, and those shoes ... well, I really wanted to get them for my Merveilleuse Agnes if I couldn't get the whole package ... and luckily I found the outfit + the accessories for a reasonable price, I really think that was a bargain, so my doll is very happy, I'm very happy ... end of the story ... pictures will follow when the sun will decide to show up a little ...

First Lady Michelle Obama formally presented the gown she wore to the 2009 inaugural balls to the Smithsonian’s First Ladies Collection Tuesday, March 9, 2010, during a ceremony at the National Museum of American History. The gown is displayed in the center of a new gallery addition to the museum’s popular exhibition, “The First Ladies at the Smithsonian.”
The one-shouldered, white-silk chiffon gown, created by designer Jason Wu, is embellished with organza flowers with Swarovski crystal centers.

In honor of the world's 1st Supermodel, Jean Shrimpton, our Jean (right) is "The Shrimp" during her controversial 1965 trip to Australia...
Jean Shrimpton made worldwide new when she wore what was to become one of the most significant dresses in fashion history--a dress made for her to wear while she made a paid appearance to give out prizes at the Spring [Horse] Racing Carnival by a designer who made the hem so high because he didn't have enough material...thus inspiring other designers to hike up those skirts and dresses higher and higher!
Jean's dress and the controversy it sparked were reported on not only by Australian media but also by U.S. TV, and news media in many countries.

There she was, the world's highest paid fashion model, snubbing the iron-clad conventions of fashionable Flemington with a dress five inches above the knee, NO hat, NO gloves and NO stockings!
The shockwaves were still rumbling around fashionable Melbourne last night when Jean Shrimpton -- The Shrimp -- swore she hadn't realised she was setting off such an outraged upheaval at Flemington on Saturday.
"I don't see what was wrong with the way I looked," she said. "I wouldn't have dressed differently for a race meeting anywhere in the world.'
For my money, she looked tremendous -- but Flemington was not amused. Fashion-conscious Derby Day racegoers were horrified. 'Insulting' ... 'a disgrace' ... 'how dare she?' ... ! If the skies had rained acid not a well-dressed woman there would have given The Shrimp an umbrella....
Last night, 22-year-old Jean said she hadn't known that Melbourne placed such heavy emphasis on conformity.
'I haven't decided what to wear to the Melbourne Cup,' she said. 'I suppose I'll have to give it a lot more thought ...'

I think she looks gorgeous in the midnight mischief silkstone outfit. I customized her hat with flowers and tulle. OOAK jewels by me.
When was said that there was a surprise at the same time of the Meteor reveal, I was thinking either it's Jason Wu dolls or either they don't dare to say it's Poppy (so many are fed up with her since last year on the forum ... ) So when I saw they actually were Jason Wu Poppys, I really laughed ...
I'm glad Jason listened to our demands about new screenings and freckles on Poppy (so far only Day Tripper had these) ...
I'm wondering how she looks in hand with her pale skin and those bright coloured hair ... some do not like her purple eyes as it's not a natural eye colour, but she is a doll, nothing is natural about her ... I bet she is a beauty ... I hope I will be able to get her next week ...
For those who are always expecting gorgeous and red carpets looks from Jason, let me remind you that when Jason designed this collection we were on our first summer during the pandemic, people didn't have social meetings, nor holidays outside their countries as there were no flights, nor red carpets of any sorts ... so this collection is a mix of casual and bright coloured looks for women who stayed mostly in their cities enjoying the spring and the summer of an uncertain future ... those were meant to give joy to the person who wore them ...
And I'm very glad Jason chose Poppy to model and showcase those two looks as FR dolls were maybe not completely appropriate for these ...
