I am slow to collecting FR but recently found Living Dangerously redhead FS and had to add her to my favorite Kyori Dolls Collection. She's stunning in the pink silk with black beaded top that came on the 2005 Jason Wu Event Veronique Perrin doll.
P.S. Girls that "Live Dangerously" never comb their hair.
Well, she sure debuted in a flurry of debate and drama! More so than Tulabelle Two after her “plastic surgery.”
So many people said she looked anorexic, or like a corpse, or that she “needed a sandwich” (I don’t know why that particular one rubbed me the wrong way?) but nobody mentioned copious quantities of cocaine?! Or made the connection to the David Bowie look-alike supermodel with the exact same name (that I have to check the spelling on every time.)
Do I like her because everyone hated her first, or the Bowie connection, or because I find dramatic facial features like these very appealing? *Cough*I-HaveACrushOnSkeletor*Cough*
She has some similar facial structures to the 16” Hanne Erickson, features I am on the fence about on Hanne, but really like on Iselin. She also reminds me a lot of Jean Marsh, but that may just be my association to her as an evil sorceress queen?
(People say she looks like the current First Lady, but I live in a cave and don’t really know what she looks like, can’t even picture her in my head. Last time I looked her up was to read conspiracy theories about her body double being the only one we ever see in photos with the president, but then I found a video of him giving a speech and wishing she could be there with him, while she stood behind him nodding along and agreeing like she wished she could be there too.)
Iselin was a “No” to me in so many ways. The price for the simplicity, no accessories, the risk of a doll that might be weird looking and not just misrepresented by the promos. But clearly I have her in hand! Haha, so she was a Yes for me after all.

I think she is my favorite Agnes and my favorite of all from the convention. Her coloring is just lovely.

16" Madame Alexander Paris Williams/Alex doll designed by Jason Wu; 17" Tonner Lord of the Rings (Viggo Mortensen) doll
Alex is ready to go out though she's a bit annoyed with Rafe.
Alex: "He had the nerve to ask if I was worried about having a 'wardrobe malfunction.' How ridiculous! Wardrobe malfunctions are so passé. I wouldn't be caught dead doing something so lame."
Let's hope not...
Left: Marc by Marc Jacobs dress
Middle: Poppy Parker Bergdorf Goodman doll
Right: Jason Wu dress
I know this doll was supposed to be wearing a Jason Wu dress and it looks like Jason was inspired by a Marc by Marc Jacobs dress from a few years back, they look almost the same, no?

I took these photos as a kind of tribute to the "Little Black Dress Barbie" line that was out a few years ago! They were amazing dolls! That was the line that peaked my interest and set me on the path to collecting Fashion Dolls and Action Figures.
I was at a point in my life where I needed a new creative outlet to help me keep my sanity! My mother was battling cancer, my father was struggling with Alzheimer's and my life was about being a caretaker. Not that I am complaining! My Parents are both gone now and I will always be grateful for the time I had with them in the final years of their lives. Nothing was left unsaid and I truly have no regrets!
Anyway, those little black dresses led me to discovering Jason Wu's Fashion Royalty and the rest, as they say is history!
Modeling are Your kind of model Kesenia, Rare Appearance Dania, and Nocturnal Glow Veronique!

I added another Monogram doll to my collection recently, again, all thanks to Bandolimou! If it had not been for her posting collages of these beautiful dolls, I would have never thought to look for them or stopped to look at them when they popped up on eBay.
This is Jason Wu's Incandescent, the packaging is really nice, with a really nice engraved gold clip that holds the box closed. I can't wait to free her from her box after all these years.
Princess Bon Bon is photographed going to an event to raise funds to help rebuild Puerto Rico after the hurricane. Those only judging her on the surface simply see an African girl wearing a vintage gold dress. However, though she is frequently seen at glamorous events, she is a down-to-earth girl, committed to doing good and to social justice. She uses her status to bring attention to causes in need of greater care and funding. On a personal level, she is very suspicious of materialistic people. Bon Bon certainly has no use for the kind of men who simply want to use her as a trophy:
"I don't want your lonely mansion
With a tear in every room
All I want's the love you've promised
Beneath the halo moon
But you think I should be happy
With your money and your name
And hide myself in sorrows
While you play your cheating game
Silver threads and golden needles
Cannot mend this heart of mine
And I dare not drown my sorrows
In the warm glow of your wine
You can't buy my love with money
'Cause I ain't never was that kind
Silver threads and golden needles
Cannot mend this heart of mine..."
--"Silver Threads and Golden Needles"; written by Dick Reynolds and Jack Rhodes (1956); most popular version by Linda Ronstadt (single in 1973)
