chanced upon this pic from my pics last dolly day here in my place with Anj, Jason and Marco... and discovered this pic i shot of poppy while Jason was posing his Regal Estate Aggie on the back ground.
I took these photos as a kind of tribute to the "Little Black Dress Barbie" line that was out a few years ago! They were amazing dolls! That was the line that peaked my interest and set me on the path to collecting Fashion Dolls and Action Figures.
I was at a point in my life where I needed a new creative outlet to help me keep my sanity! My mother was battling cancer, my father was struggling with Alzheimer's and my life was about being a caretaker. Not that I am complaining! My Parents are both gone now and I will always be grateful for the time I had with them in the final years of their lives. Nothing was left unsaid and I truly have no regrets!
Anyway, those little black dresses led me to discovering Jason Wu's Fashion Royalty and the rest, as they say is history!

Brunette Jason Wu Fragrance Elyse ... each time I discover a new version of Elyse with this screening I always think about Diane Kruger ... as she is one of his real life muses ... was it made on purpose ? or is it just a happy coincidence ?
Yes, we got another offer from Jason Wu, just a month after Fall has been revealed. IMO this is a proof that Fall was meant to be convention doll... Anyway, she is a lottery doll, 450 pieces and the price is $225.
Pros:
- I love jewelry and shoes this time. She has lovely earrings and bracelet with new sculpt adorned with crystals. Shoes look quite fresh, I do not remember we had similar so far.
- A blonde. I always have a feeling we do not see Elyse as a blonde too often. She has lovely shade of haircolor and the hairstyle is not boring and simple.
- Velvet touch. I find this feature quite nice! Dolls with it look unique and expensive in hand.
- The dress is nice, I guess, lovely shade. Lower part of the dress has the same shape as the dress from Spring.
Cons:
- She has Starlet screening... it looks too cartoonish to me. She has big eyes, and I like Elyse with small and squinty eyes.
- The dress, once again, the upper part of the dress looks bulky, I expect it to be more form fitting.
Decided to pass, but I was tempted, have to admit! I have more pros here than cons, but that screening is really not my cup of tea. What about you?
Birthstone Beauty Barbie. I redid her hair. I didn't like the way the back of her hair was when she came out of the box. The front curls are cute, but the back is a mess, which usually happens to a lot of Barbies in their boxes with that plastic and thread to hold her hair down. It just creates a mess, but anyway....

Luxury Wear" dress & accessories. The shoes are actually from the Barbie Jazz Diva Doll which are one of my favorite pair of shoes.
She is adorable, I love her colour palette ... The dress and the accessories are exquisite ... of course, her shoulders are stained ... will have to wait for PC parcel ...
