Magic: the Gathering is a card game that features iterative design. New mechanics have to be introduced regularly to keep the game fresh and to keep pushing the boundaries. This was the card that introduced "double-faced" cards, where the card transforms under certain conditions. The image on the right is actually the back of the card, and when the correct conditions are met, the card transforms into the "werewolf" form and becomes the more intimidating version.
