At the end of last month we stayed in Belgian Limburg for a few days and we noticed how many Alfas we saw on the streets. The Stelvio in particular and also the Giulia seem to be quite popular and the new member of the family, the Tonale, also seems to be a success. That's a positive thing and great to see that the beloved Italian brand is once again on the rise. This Edizione Speciale in the beautiful color Rosso Alfa was parked in Maasmechelen, so of course I had to park next to it.

Say hello to the Comet II, a pocket-sized marvel from the analog photography era! 🌟 This Italian gem by CMF proves that great things really do come in small packages. Despite its compact design, it’s capable of delivering sharp and stunning 24x24mm square negatives. Perfect for photographers who wanted portability without sacrificing quality.
The polished metal body, vintage typography, and minimalist charm make it as much a collector’s item as it is a functional camera. Imagine the stories this little powerhouse has told through its lens! ✨

I've posted pictures of this before, but I wasn't happy that I missed the "face" of the building on them, so on a recent trip back to the top of Rivington to catch some sunset pictures I snapped this.
And, despite how warm it looks, what you can't see here is that my wife was doing star jumps behind me trying to keep warm :-S
The Dovecote Tower, commonly known as the Pigeon Tower, stands at the northwestern edge of the Terraced Gardens.
Italian in style, the Tower was built in 1910 by Lord Leverhulme as part of his extensive Rivington estate.
The first two floors were home to ornamental doves and pigeons, whilst at the top was a small sitting room that was used as a lookout over the boating lake, and by Lady Lever as a sewing and music room.
The three floors are linked by a solid stone staircase that runs up the semi-circular spine of the building.
On rare occasions when the metal barricaded door allows access, one can still see in the top room the ornate fireplace engraved with the initials of William Heskth and Elizabeth Ellen Lever running in a circular wheel above the family motto, MUTARE VEL TIMERE SPERNO - "To change or to fear I spurn".
Over recent years the Tower has had its floors renovated in 1974, and its roof replaced in 2005.

Taken with my new Canon EOS 60d! It's such a huge difference from my old EOS 400d. I love it :D

This is the first project of the Bertone-Citroën cooperation. It will last for three decades, with 4 mass production models and another prototype in 1986 : the Zabrus (also in this BERTONE album).
This 2+2 coupé is based on the Citroën GS and keeps all its technical aspects :
1055cc flat 4 air cooled engine.
55 PS DIN.
Hydraulic suspension.
Brakes and steering are also taken from the GS.
Inside, it also keeps the major part of the dashboard. The length is identical to the GS, but the Camargue is wider and lower.
The body was designed by Marcello Gandini.
From the book that accompanied the 1972 Museum of Modern Art exhibition, ‘Italy: The New Domestic Landscape’. Design credits: Superstudio (Piero Frassinelli, Alessandro Magris, Adolfo Natalini, Alessandro Poli, Cristiano Toraldo di Francia). Blogged at Aqua-velvet.

Built on a large cliff overlooking the sea, the colourful homes of Manarola are particularly picturesque.
Manarola may be the oldest of the towns in the Cinque Terre, with the cornerstone of the church, San Lorenzo, dating from 1338. Manarola's primary industries have traditionally been fishing and wine-making. In recent years, Manarola and its neighboring towns have become popular tourist destinations. Mostly all of the houses are bright and colourful.
