With lockdown in the UK not able to get out this weekend, but managed to get a Macro stack of a fly.
Remote church atop Katskhi Pillar, Imereti region, Georgia. Happy Sunday to everyone.
From Wiki:
The Katskhi pillar (Georgian: კაცხის სვეტი, kac'xis svet'i) is a natural limestone monolith located at the village of Katskhi in western Georgian region of Imereti, near the town of Chiatura. It is approximately 40 metres (130 ft) high, and overlooks the small river valley of Katskhura, a right affluent of the Q'virila.
Had nothing to do but play with the filters. created from a tiled underpass tunnel. Basildon. Essex.
yep, I am now in self-isolation. No, not because I have the virus, because I am in the danger group, and do not want (should not get) the virus!
Not such a bad thing, there are worst things, I am in the comfort of my own home, can do what I like, no obligation, can photograph, work on images, catch up on things, write, listen to music... AND we have just enough toilet paper!
LOL, So, what can go wrong
Negatives can often be turned into a positive, uhh, but then I am an OPTIMIST.
TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE!
Thank you for your time and comments, greatly appreciated, M, (*_*)

Saunton Sands all to myself - huge beach and loads of space to fly my drone (and grab a few selfies)
For your delight....
Before the shit hits the fan
And we can’t
Go anywhere, remember that
The world is full of malaware
What a nightmare!!!
You clean your silverware, polish your shoes and clean your underwear.
And still shit is everywhere,
When the shit hits the fan
I’ll take my fans
my heavy duty van
And my cyber warfare
I’m going out of space
Even if right now
I cannot go anywhere,
Going to Machupichu
Feed the fish and I’ll be
So aware
Maybe Tiananman Square
And request that they clean their shit, that is now everywhere.
Maria lift up your underwear,
Maria lift up your underwear,
Let’s go to Times Square,
The world doesn’t want me to be
So aware that shit is everywhere,
Politicians are telling me where
The shit has hit the fan,
And that I should prepare
And that I shouldn’t forget
That there is not need for underwear and for us to go
ANYWHERE.

As you approach Luderitz by road from the east, the flat landscape gives way to a great hilly panorama to the north, around the Koichab depression. I'm not sure which mountains these are exactly, but they looked gorgeous in the late-afternoon sunlight.
Panorama of 6 shots stitched together in Lightroom.
A hut, dark skies and sunshine by the Stone built road bridge over Wetshaw Gill in West Stones Dale.
The whole family is now in isolation until the 20th December due to positive Covid tests, bored, bored, bored, so went into the garden to clear up after Max, non-dog walk deposits and took a few shots......
Hello Flickr Family!
It has been far too long and I have missed posting on here!
Where have I been? In 2018/2019 I was preoccupied with my Master's degree and so photography was put on hold. Upon my return I continued to upload to my Instagram account but not my Flickr account as I could not manage the two. However, I miss using Flickr as it is obviously a purpose built platform for photographers and I felt it was high time I returned. Anyways, the world is upside down with all this Coronavirus crap! I hope everyone is well and I doubt anyone is reading this! I have tons of content to share with you so keep an eye on this space!
Best Wishes!
The cow hunter
Puesto de las Vacas is a remote place in Los Glaciares National Park. To get there you have to navigate between ice floes and skirt the glaciers. Some of these frozen giants, such as Seco and Heim, hang from the mountains entangled in the thick Patagonian forest, and others, such as Spegazzini, Upsala and Perito Moreno, plunge into Lake Argentino, the third largest in Latin America.
The isolated place is frequently visited by tourists traveling on cruise ships, where they disembark, take a short walk and visit the old shelter, with log walls and red tin roof, where the Finnish "gaucho" Harry Hilden lived.
This European gaucho settled there with his wife and son with the idea of capturing the cows that belonged to the old ranches, whose lands were expropriated for the creation of the park. The animals, over the years, became wild and were obviously not well regarded in a conservation area.
Harry had a partner who was in charge of transporting the meat on a raft and also carried provisions for him and his family, the only inhabitants of the place. But many times, his partner would forget for weeks to send him what he needed to subsist in such a harsh place, so he decided to buy a raft so as not to be isolated and not to depend on his irresponsible colleague.
His son José traveled to Río Gallegos to make the purchase, but on his return he was involved in a traffic accident and died. After the misfortune, Hilden left Puesto de las vacas.
The Finn lived from 1990 to 1996 and, according to what he said, they were the best five years of his life. It is also said that Harry lives in El Calafate and dreams of returning to Puesto de las Vacas, his place in the world.

Next comes "duck and cover".
We are still rambling around the southwest checking out the least populated and remote places we can get to. The only fly in the ointment is resupply of essentials. We managed to stock up on enough food to last another week before we need to look again. Our nearest settlement has a population of 300 on a busy day; the next big town has about 1800. Hopefully we can restock there.
Eventually we do have to return to ground zero; until then we are remote and isolated.
A common bird for sure, but I just love the isolation of the meadowlark here and the beautiful shades of fall in South Dakota.
My sincere thanks to all who spend the time to view, like or comment on my photos. It is much appreciated!
