The whole family is now in isolation until the 20th December due to positive Covid tests, bored, bored, bored, so went into the garden to clear up after Max, non-dog walk deposits and took a few shots......

Just down stream from Low Force is this delightful section of falls. As the sun broke through the trees it created some great contrast across the water. A stitch of six images of five seconds at f16.

I know, it is a well photographed location. what did impress me was the wedding party that wandered over to the house, the bride in her wedding dress, to have photos taken in an absolute hoolie!!
After being in isolation for a couple of days, Karl was given the “all clear” and is now back in his regular hospital room. I am the one designated visitor and can see him during visiting hours. We celebrated Christmas together - we are so fortunate (so many seniors are alone and isolated now).
A disused pier on Hurst Spit. On this particular morning the fog closed in and I was all alone in the silence. I felt this deserved a post-apocalyptic edit to covey the atmosphere.
On a recent winter camping trip, we hiked along this section of Georgian Bay shoreline. Usually at this time of the year, we can walk on the ice over to that small island. Not this year. There were chunks of ice floating like giant frozen lily pads. I listened to a report that experts are out on the ice on all the Great Lakes checking the water quality during winter. They say that this is the time when the most ice cover occurs on the lakes and lately the ice cover has been less each year. They want to study how it affects our drinking water.
