Well I am in isolation to protect a vulnerable one 😳. So a quick dip in my files from last spring. Strange times. Stay healthy!
Things to do while self-isolating. This is a scan from a Kodachrome 25 slide - the photo was taken in 1979. I posted it years ago but today's Lightroom and Photoshop allowed me to try processing it to suit my intent when I photographed the scene. I have done 3 different versions now ... never give up I say!

Solitaire and solitude is not the same as loneliness!
A distinction has been made between solitude and loneliness.
In this sense, these two words refer, respectively, to the joy and the pain of being alone.
Solitaires like being alone, happy with just themselves and their world.
That does not mean that you are not social!
I love being with people however I am not sad when I am alone.
Solitude does not necessarily entail feelings of loneliness, and in fact may, for those who choose it with deliberate intent, be one's sole source of genuine pleasure.
Loneliness is a complex and usually unpleasant emotional response to isolation.
Loneliness typically includes anxious feelings about a lack of connection or communication with other beings, both in the present and extending into the future.
As such, loneliness can be felt even when surrounded by other people and one who feels lonely, is lonely.
The causes of loneliness are varied and include social, mental, emotional, and physical factors.
Take care, be safe!
Have a good day and thanks for your visit, so very much appreciated, Magda, (*_*)

The odds are stacked against our love
I'm always waking up when he is sleeping still
The catalyst
I know I plummet to the depths
With no reasoning, one reason was
The birds singing, I curled in a ball
And thought of you and all you meant
I'll compose myself, I'll get over it
Though I can't tell if this is better
To be left another lesson learned

♫ Daughter | Isolation ♫
Captured en-route to Glencoe last November to run a workshop. I saw this beautiful boat just floating motionless and thought that I simply had to stop and photograph it. It wasn't until I looked at the image on my computer screen at home when I noticed the heron on the far right hand side. What a wonderful addition to an already stunning scene.
I hope you all like it.

Probably the most minimalistic photo I have ever taken, but I rather liked the simple effect of these fall marsh grasses reflected in the water on an overcast day.
The theme of this week's challenge will be "isolation".
i had to post this to the group a day early as iam on a weekend break:)
Isla situada en la zona llamada Cotonera junto a Islares, que muestra el potente impacto que produce el aislamiento y su aparente simplicidad.
