Isolation photos on Flickr

While shooting this series I often felt like a kid on summer break. I could play around and transform myself however I wanted. If my plans weren’t working out, I could always move on to the next idea. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I prefer to be behind the camera, but I’m grateful I had this time to experiment with my own face. Keep an open mind. Keep playing.

Located just west of Condon, Oregon. The vibrant green of this field and this perfectly situated old building made it almost impossible to pass it by.

"Isolation"

The Keys, Florida, USA

Situated in Florida's southern extremes are The Keys, individual islands connected to the mainland by US-1, a 100+ mile highway. Along the highway are endless views of mangroves that line the seashore.

This view, about midway between Key Largo and Key West, is found just off the highway. I decided to stop here as an afterthought. The sun had already set about thirty minutes earlier, and made the call to stop just to "see what I could get." What a great choice! The higher tide had filled up the rocky foreground, making a reflective sea of glass!

Second highest tide of the year this morning at Teignmouth, so thought a trip to the back beach on a horrible cloudy morning was appropriate! Even so, The water was so high it was ridiculous! This shot is inspired by some of my contacts photos which exhibit the same sort of motion with dinghys in the water. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, however imperfections are obvious to me, which i'll try and make sure I avoid on the next shoot!
