There's too much going on with this composition since I like to keep things simple but I love the shot since the street was completely isolated :)

1920x1200 as well since Full View is the best viewing.

Outside the window of the kitchen...

Please don't post your photos here nor GLITTERY IMAGES. They will be removed. Don't invite me to any group. I will not accept ;-)

It's better seen this way, I think. : )

Even in isolation there is always light

Apparently, I posed for this picture in the middle of a mosquito farm but it was ultimately worth it.

MUST BE VIEWED IN STEREO TO FULLY APPRECIATE!

A 3D (stereo) crosseye view.

Maybe not something I will do a lot of but thought I'd have a dabble with some scanner based work after looking through the sublime 'Seawork's by Paul Kenny. A bit of creative fun and a creative break from traditional image making as much as anything else.

If you don't like shock therapy,

Isolation is the key.

Whilst walking around Whipsnade Zoo we came across this tree isolated on the hill top looking over the valley. The image is a bit of an experiment with Lightroom4 as I played around a lot with the levels, highlights and the shadows to give it more presence but turned down the clarity to blend the sky a bit nearer the horizon.

I have now set up a Facebook page to showcase some of my work so if you fancy a look please click on the link below and if you like what you see please Like the page. Thanks very much.

A group of us were in Malta on March 12th. The day before flights to all European countries (bar the UK) were cancelled. When we got to the airport it was surreal. Hardly anyone. But on the last morning in the villa, I shot this pano with the Mamiya AFD, the Phase One P45+ back, and the 80mm 1.9. To suggest the depth of field is insane on the 80mm is understating it. One touch and you are out, but I love the look of this lens. We actually moved an alternative sofa in behind Layla and all the images with that 'side' - that is - her and the sofa were just slightly soft, so I had taken this image earlier and worked with that - even if it is actually just a touch higher than the image on the right.

First real attempt at a composite. Background shot is of a cell in Kilmainham Gaol and the selfie was in my living room. Both taken on my new best friend, the fuji X-T10 with the samyang 12mm at f/8.

March 20, 2020

Social distancing officially starts today. Every day going forward, a photo from the archives – a little project to keep my mind off the scary state of the world. I am very lucky... Canada has not been hit hard yet and I have no sign of illness, am in a safe place with my family and (hopefully) the worst I face is boredom. Stay safe everyone.

I photographed this forlorn looking young man in the narrow alleys of Cholon in Saigon. Technically not a great photograph, but I think it makes a strong picture.

Every summer the Great Salt Lake recedes and leaves the bare sand exposed to the sun. Water-carved channels scar the lake bed like a miniature Grand Canyon. They say that the Great Salt Lake doubles in size for every foot of depth it increases.

One of my brothers and my dad decided to go fishing during our trip to Galveston. So I tagged along with them, camera in hand. This was a little island that I waded through the water to get to.
