Minolta XD, MD 24/2.8 (49 mm thread), Ilford Delta 400 Pro @1600.
Film: expired 8 years, shot at 1600, developed in DD-X 1+4 at 20C for 13.5 min (pushed 2 stops).
Taken recently at Rhossili Beach - I couldn't decide which shot I preferred to thought I would upload all three! The building on the right of the picture is the Old Rectory which is now owned by the National Trust and is rented out as a holiday home. It is my dream place to live! The only way to get vehicle access is via a bumpy track from Rhossili village - poor postman!
Finally got CS3 loaded on new laptop...
First attempt with CS3, chose to do a B&W conversion of my previous post. B&W/ Color what do you think?
Isolation-- I don't want to sit on a lemon tree
I'm at times a very introverted person. At other times I'm a bit more extroverted, but nevertheless, I'm an introvert by definition. This doesn't mean that I'm shy or always quiet, although I can be, but it's more that I love being on my own, living in my own world, watching others rather than interacting. I love going out and spending time with friends, and I do regularly, but at the end of the day there is nothing I want more than to go somewhere by myself, or to go sleep in my own bed. "You are you who you are when no one is looking" couldn't be truer. I'm not a fake version of me around others, I'm just a slightly more reserved one. If I know someone doesn't care for a topic, I won't bring it up. If I know they don't like a type of music, I won't play it. I strive to keep others happy because it in turn makes me feel relaxed and happy, but after a long day, I want to go home and play anything I want and talk to myself abut anything I want! Personally, I love isolation just as much as I love company, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it!

Unless society can adapt itsbehaviour sufficiently for a short period of time, the COVID problems will only continue.
Plaça dels Angels, Barcelona. In tyhe middle of a major viral outbreak. Because of the failure to block viral transmission and the failure to implement and deploy functional track-and-trace, this winter is going to be far far bleaker than it needs to be.

I was walking in downtown Austin on the last day of the celebration for the F1 race. There were lots of festivities and promotional events and I thought this young lady walking around in a plastic bubble was pretty interesting.
A fog bank hangs over Bear Lake, Idaho just off the end of a boat dock. The slightly diagonal line that looks like a shoreline is actually the edge of the fog.
This photo was taken just a few feet away, and 90 degrees from the previous photo of Bear Lake.
Been experimenting now with multiple exposures now for a while really like this style of photography but so far not managed to bag or process a shot with the buzz factor when us togs grab or process something special. So the experiment continues.

Like multitudes of my fellow voluntary shut-ins, I have been finding alternative projects to use my time. Locked in an apartment makes me yearn for a return to the days of having a garden in which I could mow lawns and weed vegetable beds (incurring insect bites and sunburn!). Today I have re-edited an old jpg in two styles, using Luminar 4. One uses sky replacement and the other has a texture overlay and some little additions via sky augmentation.
Busselton Jetty is a well known landmark of Western Australia's Margaret River region. Stretching 1841 metres out into Geographe Bay, it is the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere.

This little fellow was hard at work cleaning my eavestroughs from the maple "keys" that had fallen into them yesterday. I have a few cute pictures of him peeking over the edge down at me, but he remained while I balanced on the rail of my deck to provide the shooting angle I wanted. The amazingly small DOF of 200mm and f/2.8 at this distance really gives amazing subject isolation. I did almost nothing to this, other than a minor crop and a couple of minor saturation tweaks to bring the somewhat flat RAW image to visual spec. Enjoy! P.S. While the Tamron version has minutely slower AF and doesn't play with TC's as well, its image quality and bokeh rendering is, IMO, actually better than the might Canon MKII version. If you want an amazing lens at a great value for this class, I wholeheartedly recommend it.
