It rained last week and swelled the ponds with fresh water near our house. It was teeming with these migratory geese and I was able to get a snaphot right before sunset. I tweaked the exposure during pp enough to isolate the sun and also to enhance the sillohouettes. Temperatures are in the 70's today. A perfect Indian summer. Hope your weekends are going great.

However, we’re on the mend, and so grateful for the vaccine. We’re sure that the vaccines really gave us a mild version of the virus.
How good are the scientists that did this for us?!!
So though I can’t get out and about just yet, here’s a blossom photo I took a couple of weeks ago. It’s nearly all blown away now.

Isolate thunderstorm over the High plains of Wyoming often ignite supercell structure capable of producing tornadoes and large hail. Fortunately, this storm got only to within 15 miles of my home. This was close enough to show a fully developed anvil and towering convection (including a wall cloud, fire sunset, and twilight lightning from over 100 miles away.
This storm was worthy of a 60 foot climb up a hill adjacent to my backyard. This hike provided me with a 360 degree clear horizon.
After a year's absence from Cheyenne, Wyoming, I'm back and well prepared to capture these wonders of nature.

Social distancing is a new action in our everyday life just now and is intended to stop or slow down the spread of a contagious disease. As each day goes by and we all adhere to the message, then we will reduce the probability of contact between persons carrying an infection, and others who are not infected, so as to minimize transmission. Stay safe my flickr friends. This is a archive photo taken in Largs on the west coast of Scotland in 2011 as I'm self isolating at the moment.

There's always a good show of crocuses in the area around Bramcote Country Park. For this image, I chose to isolate just a few flowers that were benefiting from some strong backlighting, which I set against a shady background. This image, amongst others I took in the park, were used in promotional materials for Broxtowe Borough Council.
Here's a picture that I'm considering for my project, Urban Serendipity. Over the last couple of days, I've been posting images of isolated figures in tunnels, on escalators, and on stairs. I’ve demonstrated that even small and large puddles can create interesting shadows that isolate figures or add an intriguing and sometimes confusing element to the image. This image places the individual in the entrance of an immense office building. On the left, you can see the small security gates giving access to the elevators. The red is coming from a door giving access to another elevator. I like this photograph because of its clean composition and the striking contrast of the almost entirely black and white scene with large red shapes - London, UK.

This lovely colourful balloon drifted past my garden in Bristol tonight, I dashed inside for my camera and snapped it way up in the blue sky.
We often see balloons wafting across the sky, they usually come from the Ashton area where the Balloon Festival is held.
