Out of the darkness I call upon Thee to be able to rise above the earthly..
The lifestyle of the orthodox monks includes various forms of ascetism. They limit as much as possible the mental and physical pleasures and transcend in one's physical limitations.
In this way they try to remove the obstacles to greater spritual growth.
One of these forms is achieved by isolating oneself from the outside world by living incells.

Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past.

I like to isolate myself from the world from time to time, I like to listen to my thoughts and repeat that phrase that we sometimes say "I'm fine".
I like to lose myself in the silence or in the music and redecorate those empty spaces when my desire and my dreams lose intensity.
When doubts corner me, I go to that place to remind myself that I can and always will.

This is the side view of a fallen tree. This mushroom seems to be living very well on its own.
Thanks for visiting.
Take care out there......
After a year of hardship on gardening, finally I have some decent photos to share from my garden. Sigh, my arms are still in pain due to the "over-work" on the garden.

Look up! I think it was the "Warning of Death" signs that made me look up at the isolators at the Strontian electricity sub-station. It was the colour of them that really attracted me, but not enough to touch them. If only they glowed at night they would look even better.

These are difficult times. I feel like we are in a bad movie and I can't wait for it to end.
My heart goes out to those who are affected in some way and suffering from this Corona virus. At the time that I post this, most people are affected in some way.
I am self isolating with the hope that sometime in the near future the world can return to a semblance of what it was a few months ago.
Stay safe everyone.
Branching out a little, I really wanted to take advantage of how the season right now can really isolate a subject.

A pocket of yellow flowers covering a small section of the churchyard of Mary the Virgin, Kensworth, Bedfordshire. It is currently about 11 degrees centigrades, and some bees are around. Certainly, Winter is not over yet. However, behind the lines, Spring is already preparing.

The world has turned upside down.
Morning photography while isolating works fairly well, except when I accidentally stepped in or on a mole hill and rolled. Luckily, I was not carrying coffee in one hand— the rolling provided plenty of adrenaline!
Another old fruit tree, but so few trees or plants have begun to bloom that these called to me.
