Isle Of Wight in December 2017.

A bench woodpecker decoration at the Alverstone Mead Nature Reserve. Initially disappointed to not see any red squirrels at the hide, our path then went past a red squirrel feeding station and we saw them close up, but alas no good photos even though I was so close when one scuttled out in front of me.

There was a notice up about feeding a variety of foods and in particular not too many peanuts as that can cause calcium deficiency. for more information on feeding see www.northernredsquirrels.org.uk/squirrels/feeding-reds/

September 1997. This Wiltax Ford Transit was new to Southern Vectis in 1985, so I suppose it was elderly for a Transit. Don't understand the significance of the poster on the side - nor why Santa features on the side of the hotel!

...the cliffs are quite prone to slip sliding.

...shortly after this I caused amusement by trying to swing on a vine...it collapsed as soon as I put weight on it...not quite the image I was going for!

It was heads down through Ventnor and then waterproofs...we were heading for our pick up point at Ventnor Botanic Gardens

Because of a road closurer at Lynn Farm, service 33 (33a) was on diversion, turning in the Haven Street Railways car park to return to Newport via Wootton.
