Ryde Pier - Isle of Wight, England

Ryde's pier is the second-longest seaside pier in the country. Only Southend's is longer. The original wooden structure at Ryde opened in 1814.

The Isle of Wight Needles Lighthouse can be seen towards the left of the horizon. On the far left is Hengistbury Head. The water to the left of the Isle of Wight is the Solent which runs between the island and the English Mainland.

We arrived on the Isle of Wight on a blustery day and enjoyed a crab sandwich and a pint of locally brewed beer by this very welcome fire.

I am very busy with my Super~Six groups so only a few invites please. I will try my best to respond to you all. Thank you.
