'Sycamore Seat'. Five years ago we completed these sculptures for the park's sculpture trail. Today they look better than ever as nature has made it's mark on the Nigelite they are made from.

Isle Of Wight, Bus museum in Ryde. July 2015.

This holiday forms my earliest memories. I always remembered my parents meeting an old friend called Lionel, and now, many years later, I have the photo to prove it.

Lionel has now (April 2012) lived in Florida for many years.

Taken on my first family holiday, believed to be in 1954 when I was 3, on the Isle of Wight - almost certainly at Shanklin.

This has me completey and stupidly stumped. I just don't even know what sort of insect it is! It's very small, perhaps 3mm and resembles nothing so much as a dragonfly nymph but in a tree!

2 or 3 swept from dune grass and/or sea buckthorn.

Thanks to Jonathan i now know that it's a Psocid nymph - a barklouse. Fantastic.
