Still hanging in there and even sporting the 'working for safer communities' slogan still!
Due to be replaced by an X5 as these vehicles are now dual role on the Isle of Wight as ARV and RPU response.
unit 001 is Leaving Ryde Esplanade empty after working the Pier Head to Esplanade shuttle service. quite a few passengers have just got off, having made the short journey from the Pier Head. The unit is pulling forward and will cross over to make the short journey back. (see next picture) 31 July 1991.

The left was the sign in the unisex toilet at the café - the right was the weather we had on the way back to HF Freshwater Bay - definitely more than a sprinkle!
Luckily the rain did stop and we had great weather for the next day which was our last walking day before the journey home.
Absolutely delightful - the rain had stopped and sun was out in all its richness. Luckily some of the others wanted to divest waterproofs so I got a chance for a quick shot. We would like to return to explore.
An ex-demo V70 ARV seen here on the Isle of Wight, currently being used by the Island's JOU (so no doubt at the end of its working life!)
We took the steps rather than the chairlift to Alum Bay Beach.
It was grey and windy and we didn't stay long.
The people on the chairlift we saw didn't get off either.
However on a sunny less windy day it is a wonderful place to be.

This is our last shot from our free day figure of eight walk - the way back was enjoyed but more or less duplicated with our first guided walk. We did later take a photo of the sundial in the HF Freshwater Bay grounds.

*First photo on Flickr* Brand new to the Island, seen here getting off the ferry. Not in service yet (19-04-2017).
Very similar to Island's other Scania pumps, however this one has a different lightbar and a yellow bottom to the 135.
