The moon was perfectly placed last evening above the Frog Pond. Finally some beautiful weather - AND graduation is today!!! I welcome the end of school, it's been a long year.
A wooded section of The Bruce Trail near Tobermory, Ontario. The last light of the day was illuminating the overhead canopy here.
My husband and I stayed at the Clarion Inn in Gatlinburg TN last month to celebrate my Birthday and our Anniversary. It was a very nice place right on the edge of Gatlinburg.

The scenery at Devil's Thumb Ranch, which caters to cross country skiers, is superb. The meadows are at 8,300 ft, but immediately to the east is the Indian Peaks Wilderness, which contains peaks that rise above 13,000 feet on the Continental Divide. The resort maintains 150 km of groomed trails and a very comfortable resort.
Note that the fence on the right barely stays above the snow, and the fence to the left is partially buried.
Willows along the stream, quaking aspen on the hillsides, lodgepole pine (green foliage) on lower hills, Engelmann spruce and subalpine fir (darker foliage) up to 11,000 feet.
A moment of adventure and refreshment captured at Hokitika Gorge, as a man emerges from the cool, inviting turquoise waters, ready for another dive. The vibrant river, surrounded by lush greenery, serves as the perfect backdrop for this refreshing escape into nature. It’s a blend of excitement and tranquility, showcasing the raw beauty of New Zealand’s natural playground.

The inside structure of this Phalaenopsis flower seems to be beckoning with open arms to any passing insect, inviting it to come in and pollinate it as it begins to open its gaze onto the world today.
A very inviting track to an old derelict farmhouse. However, the plethora of private property signs and threats of prosecution, as well as many padlocked gates keeps the place at a distance.
