I was looking at Google maps to see what kinds of accommodations were available along our route home through Quebec from Atlantic Canada when this place popped up with a good recommendation. I don't know about you but I take whatever Google recommends with a grain of salt. That said, the place looked grand on their web site and they had a room available. When we drove by it, my wife said, "this place? Oh yes!" Phew! Passed the test. Dating from 1893, someone put a lot of money into restoring this Victorian building. Truthfully, after spending all day on the road, I was knackered and the bed in our room looked very inviting.

Thank you for stopping by.

If you're coming to Kyoto to get that one famous shot (you know the one), make sure to explore the area around it as well. There are so many warm little streets.
Our first impulse when we arrived at this island was to jump into the crystal-clear turquoise waters: at Tinalisayan Island, San Pascual, Burias Island, Masbate. The change in color of the water indicates a sudden drop in the sea bed where corals and other marine life abound.
