Regent's Canal is a canal across an area just north of central London, England. It provides a link from the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal, just north-west of Paddington Basin in the west, to the Limehouse Basin and the River Thames in east London. The canal is 13.8 kilometres (8.6 miles) long

On the road again and heading into the mountains.

I built this originally as a playhouse for my daughters. In a new location, it now has become a garden shed.

The salt marshes of the lowlands have a character of their own. They are unlike anything we have near where I live, and I always find them inviting, especially when there is a boardwalk involved.

When the weather is dull and grey I prefer to visit colourful places to offer a contrast to the sky. Today we visited a castle, a museum and a windmill. Between the thunderstorms of the early afternoon we tried some shots.

Schloss Ovelgönne is an old manor house in Bad Oeynhausen with a long history and interesting architecture. In Spring and Summer the gardens are a firework of colours, now in Winter the building is the highlight.

I am always curious about why one flower wins out over all the others in a small area. I guess smell is everything?

I'm back!

Thank you to the ubertalented Stacey for inviting me to collaborate on this diptych. It was a pleasure. The top image is mine (taken, of course, on the west coast), and the bottom image is Stacey's. Visit her stream immediately, folks. She's got the goods.

I will finally get around to visiting your streams today! Yay!

I would also like to announce that my vernissage for my wee little photo show is actually happening this Saturday. Yay to that, too! Your feedback definitely contributed to my final selections for the show, so thank you so much. If you're interested in dropping by, it's at the Linuxcaffe, 326 Harbord, Corner Grace, in Toronto. The vernissage commences for around 7ish, and I will have a very talented flamenco-folk-fusion friend playing the guitar for your listening pleasure at 8ish. it's a teeny tiny little place, but it should be fun, certainly. No booze, I'm afraid, but purchasable coffee & treats and such will be available.
