Postcard/Invitation card for the event.

When you send out a wedding invitation card to your guests you are not only providing them with the information about the date and functions for the wedding day but you are providing them with a peek into what sort of wedding event they will be attending. Gone are the days where parents of the bride and groom would head out to their local stationery shop and select a design from the big book of invitations.

With the large number of resources the internet provides, couples have infinite possibilities for designing and selecting their wedding invitation. Just like all the other fashion worlds out there, wedding invitations have trends too.

Whether you are planning a wedding around a theme, color or season, you will want to keep abreast of current trends. Whether you decide to follow the latest fashions and trends or ignore them completely, it is important to know what industry pundits and other experts are claiming to be currently in style or the next big thing.

FRESCOES help you keep on top of the latest fashions, colors and seasonal themes as well as what some couples are doing to be traditional, unique or distinct with their wedding invitations.

Hot Fashion Trends for Wedding Cards

Frescoes designs invitations that incorporate the colour palettes and picturesque outdoor landscapes that these sizzling summer months offer. Motivation comes from the natural colours of the landscape and the season.

Creating customized bridal invitations starts with choosing the colour that compliments your personality. Colour is among the best ways to represent the season of your wedding. While shades of blue may serve to set the tone of a cool winter wedding, browns and yellows will complement autumn ceremonies. Couples find greens and pastels favorite shades of spring and bright oranges and deep reds sizzle with a hot summer ceremony.

Use rich jewel tones like burgundy, emerald green, navy and amethyst for winter weddings. By contrast, bright colors like pinks, oranges, yellows and pastels complement the sunshiny warmth of spring and summer wedding invitations. A beach bash or a spring blossoms or basant/ vasant theme may be appropriate from February to June. Find ways to incorporate traditional motifs from your culture and see the how the vintage lends its charm to modernize your wedding invitations.

Use

Mint Green

Birds

Flowers

Patterns

Prints

Metallic Foils

Laser Cuts

Boxed-Invites

Themes such as the use of elegant custom “couples” wedding monograms and the use of flowers as the main design element for the entire wedding, all carry over every season. Keeping to one color palette and intermixing the design elements onto all of your wedding correspondence will help to create a sophisticated, unified look.

Personality and creativity are what today’s weddings are all about. Whether you are into all things Indian, beach parties, butterflies, sunflowers or birds, the most important consideration in choosing a theme is that it be something elegant yet fun that you can cherish the memories of for years to come.

I got Ariel today. I ordered her online on release day, October 27, 2018. She is #2047 of 4500. She and the box arrived in perfect shape. However, the invitation card has slipped down in the plastic sleeve, and won't stay up. I love her face and hair, but her dress is a bit too gaudy for my taste, although it is appropriate for an 80's girl. Her hair is stiff at the ends to keep its curl, so it got a little messy when I broke it up to even out her hair in the back. I cut off the rubber band securing the purse string to her shoulder. I had to use a little tape to keep it from sliding off her shoulder afterwards. I show her boxed, during deboxing, and fully deboxed. I have her now on my desk, right next to me as I type this. It is convenient that I got her just before the next one, Tiana, is released tomorrow.

My grandparents' wedding invitation card, on thick heavily embossed cream card with ivyleaf and rose motifs. Originally it was tied together with a watered silk cream ribbon. The LL monogram is metal and there are traces of the original silver.

The Enchanted Gallery rubber stamp inked with black VersaFine ink (I love that ink pad, perfect for watercoloring/marker-ing over.) The colors were done with a purple color pencil (for the floor shadow) Marvy LePlume markers and one Tombow marker (#N89 which is a nice really light gray for a shadow outline.) I used nestablities to die cut the paper shapes and orange peel Stickles glitter glue.

Wedding Invitation I made for my friends' marriage. Color theme was inspired by the place they got married, a medieval monastery surrounded by nature. They wanted a tree as a symbol, with some elvish influence but not excessively ornated.

--------------------------------

Invitation is a square shape, trifold brochure, made of high quality Canson textured paper (color Olive green) and closed with a brown cardstock bellyband.

On the front there is an embossed "fantasy tree" made by me.

Bellyband has their initials and decorated with Olive organza ribbon.

Eighteenth birthday invitations really should be both fun as well as emotion, since it is a call for the family members to become a part of, essentially the most eagerly anticipated times in everyone's life.

Design based on client's invitation card.

Steenokkerzeel, BELGIUM

It’s almost Kobe’s seventh birthday and like each year I try to come up with some kind of corny idea for the invitation cards for his birthday party. This time, we went for a quick 5 minute studioshoot (Hensel Expert Pro Plus 500 with an Octaform Lightbox 150 to camera right, Sunbounce Pro to camera left as fill) and some crappy Photoshop work.

Can you find the seven differences?

This is lit with a Hensel Expert Pro 500 monobloc with a beautydish. A Sunbounce micro-mini below and a pro to camera left, are used as fill light.

Goal: card for church members to hand out to friends, acquaintences, and others that they invite to New Life Church.

Audience: everyone (targeting 20 -35 years old)

Direction: the church is less than a year old and has mostly young families with adults 20 - 35 years old. It is non-denominational and still developing an identity. We wanted a clean look that would be attractive to our target audience.

Project: Invite cards for members to personally hand out to introduce the church to the community

Other important info:This is both sides to a business size card. The gray will end up printing as charcoal and the blue will be cyan. (The text on back looks fuzzy, but not in Illustrator.)

In This invitation card is from our high end collections and made of hard bound card board with shimmery finished designed cover. See more at: bit.ly/XVXUEs

My friends Jenny & Kate wanted a humorous and memorable Save The Date card to send out prior to the invitations for their wedding.

A little bit of jiggery-pokery with a playing card and some penmanship and here we are.

Printed at playing card size too.

c 2009

Wedding Invitation I made for my friends' marriage. Color theme was inspired by the place they got married, a medieval monastery surrounded by nature. They wanted a tree as a symbol, with some elvish influence but not excessively ornated.

--------------------------------

Invitation is a square shape, trifold brochure, made of high quality Canson textured paper (color Olive green) and closed with a brown cardstock bellyband.

Once open:

Left- the negative embossed tree.

Center- Invitation text (they provided me) printed on a cream fiber textured cardstock.

Right- I added a brown cardstock pocket decorated with a lace-trim border punch. Inside this pocket there is a Map and a little card with some aditional info (Hotel booking and such).

I got Ariel today. I ordered her online on release day, October 27, 2018. She is #2047 of 4500. She and the box arrived in perfect shape.
