I find it interesting to compare various depictions of characters inspired by popular culture from different countries and/or inspired by folklore references. Vatious features on this Scarecrow... A badge from London Transport Motor Club (Central Buses) and a Scottie type dog cutout on the floor with Open sign on the base... Maybe for a dog grooming parlour.
To those that are not familiar with VE Day it marks the end of the war in Europe (Victory Europe), in August (15th) is VJ Day re the Pacific war with Japan.

Glacier retreats, chunks float downstream. I picked one up and it looked like an animal. 1000 year old glacier fragment, I hold in my hand. What does it look like to you?

During Festival week the householders and children are encouraged to build Scarecrows which are scattered around the village to create a trail for people to find. Some are obvious and some are partly hidden away in gardens and porches.
The British Legion is strategically placed on a junction near the shopping parade so their Scarecrow (Superwoman) is easily discovered.

I started sending out various holiday e-cards when I got my first computer back in 2001 and multi-page Scrapbooks followed shortly thereafter. I’ve been doing these Images of Halloween collections since 2003. This is a page from 2016.
Murray couldn't resist doing the social media photo meme, started by Dolly Parton, that's all the rage. He also apologizes for his long absence. He just finds fame so exhausting.
I was wondering if I would find myself invisible while on vacation in Lake Placid, Florida. But, then I noticed the security monitor at the Lake Placid subway stop, and the invisible man in the monitor looked very familiar.
