Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll,

I am the master of my fate:

I am the captain of my soul.

~William Ernest Henley (1849–1903).

A simple slightly-edited shot of what Jhax was wearing at the time. Just felt like showing him off a bit ^^

Day 1 at the 2018 World Championship Semifinals Stage at the Gwangju Women's University Universiade Gymnasium in Gwangju, South Korea, on 27 October 2018.

En la noche que me envuelve,

negra como un pozo insondable,

doy gracias al dios que fuere

por mi alma inconquistable.

En las garras de las circunstancias

no he gemido ni llorado.

Ante las puñaladas del azar

si bien he sangrado, jamás me he postrado.

Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

INVICTUS

GAMES

The English Tour 2016, Alberta, Montreal, Eastern European Festivals in Toronto photos are all taking a break.

The third ever Invictus Games is happening in Toronto right now. Seeing the athletes compete is very inspiring and moving.

Seventeen nations are participating: Afghanistan, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Romania, Ukraine, United Kingdom and the United States of America.

Partial quote from Wikipedia:

"The Invictus Games is an international Paralympic-style multi-sport event, created by advisors of Prince Harry, in which wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel and their associated veterans take part in sports competition. Named after Invictus, Latin for "unconquered" or "undefeated", the event was inspired by the Warrior Games, a similar event held in the United States."

The 1st ever Invictus Games was held in London in 2014, the 2nd one in Orlando in 2016, and the 3rd in Toronto in 2017, and the 4th one will be in Sydney in 2018.

Phẩm chất chân chính của con người là ở trong cách họ sống chứ không ở trong cái họ có !
