► █░▓ ≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈ INVICTUS I has just passed under Merwede bridge and like all other vessels at this point follows a strange arch in its trajectory, avoiding the middle section of the river. My assumption is that there must be a sandbank or a shoal just behind the central and northern pillar of the bridge. Need to check that on a navigational map.
Note the remarkable perspective flattening of the long telephoto reach. The next shot to come is illustrative of the change between the 300 mm and the 150 mm focal length. The ship is much longer than it appears here.
Taken 24 minutes before the astronomical sunset. These were the last minutes of a nice clear sunny day that will soon turn overcast and stay like that until publishing this.

ছোট বেলায় যখন আমি ক্লাস ওয়ান কি টু তে পড়ি, আব্বা প্রায়ই কবিতাটা বিড় বিড় করে আবৃত্তি করতেন। আমি তাঁর ভরাট কন্ঠে আবৃত্তি শুনতাম মন্ত্রমুগ্ধের মত। অর্থও জিজ্ঞাসা করতাম না। বুঝতামও না।
আস্তে আস্তে বড় হলাম। সময় আর বয়সের ঠেলায় আব্বাও আর আবৃত্তি করেন না। কবিতাটাও কালক্রমে হারিয়ে গেল আমার স্মৃতি থেকে।
হঠাৎ সেদিন Nelson Mandela’র জীবননির্ভর মুভি Invictus দেখার সময় Morgan Freeman এর কন্ঠে কবিতাটা শুনেই আঁতকে উঠলাম। এটাই সেই কবিতা, যা ম্যান্ডেলাকে তাঁর কারারুদ্ধ ২৭ বছরের জীবনে অনুপ্রেরণা যুগিয়েছিল প্রবলভাবে। নেট থেকে সাথে সাথে নামিয়ে পড়ে ফেললাম।
কবিতাটি গত কয়েকদিনে অন্তত শ'খানেক বার পড়া হয়ে গেছে ইতোমধ্যে।
যতবারই পড়ি না কেন, ততবারই নতুনভাবে অনুপ্রেরণা পাই কনফিডেন্টলি বেঁচে থাকার। এগিয়ে চলার।
ফিরে এল ঝরা কবিতা। আমার শৈশবের হারিয়ে যাওয়া কবিতা। সত্যিই,
