He was sitting near the temple. His square jaw, rugged, weather worn face reminded me of the first stanza of the poem Invictus:

Trooping the Colour also known as The Queen's Birthday Parade, is traditional display of pomp and pageantry originating from preparations of battle.
Colours, or flags, were carried or "trooped" down the rank so that it could be seen and recognised by the soldiers. This year the Colour being trooped belonged to 7 Company Coldstream Guards.
More than 1,600 soldiers and 300 horses took part in the parade to celebrate The Queen's 90th Birthday.

A long time ago, the chief rival horse to my stallion Stolas was a very handsome knabstrupper named Xanthippus. We were always neck and neck for competition. When I learned that the only stallion sired by that horse was coming up for sale, well let’s just say I couldn’t get in my truck fast enough.
Sol is an outstanding addition to my barn. He’s a solid dressage horse, and incredibly versatile. He never shies at a jump, and is very willing to pull a carriage. Never imagined owning a spotted horse, but he continues to impress me every day. Like all my horses, he tests his rider to make sure we’re focused on our goals. Recently rode him in the Show Jumping at the Evergarden Ride with Pride event. There were some incredible horses at that event. We scored 5th place. So very pleased with my spotted handsome boy!

As I was taking the shot, my wife called from Watson Lake in the Yukon to let me know she is well and enjoying her epic bucket list camping/kayaking trip with her daughter a thousand miles away. The bird's pose reminded me of her favourite poem,

Spaceship War!
This construction gave me immense pleasure ... the immense hard angles to get, I think the design is very different from what I've seen around ... and it is interesting / funny to have used some lego bricks that I would not normally use in my MOC's. I love this spaceship! Is well exposed in my office ... and in the future I will make a more interesting support! If I took the supporting structure (in yellow), catching with my hands ... the size of the ship is powerful, strong and consistent. I am filled with pride to have built this ship and her mine!
