Invasión, a veces la cabeza esta clara, limpia de ideas, con un camino que parece ser claro y comienzan a llegar cosas que bloquean esa claridad y de repente lo que uno ve es... nada.
The fortifications of the town were built after the Mongol Invasion. It had four gates, which opened to the south, west, north and northeast. The plain of the town slightly slopes north, so the southern gate, which was located on the highest point, was called Upper Gate, while the northeastern gate, which was located on the lowest point, was called Lower Gate. The walls were defended by wide moats.
The trade road coming from the central regions of Hungary left the town towards Poland through the Lower Gate. From the town gate a little wooden bridge led to a half-round barbican, which still stands, surrounded by moats. From the barbican a drawbridge led across the moat. After the fortifications of the town lost their significance, the wooden bridges over the moats were demolished and a new stone bridge was raised with two 5-metres wide arches in 1821. A similar stone bridge was built to connect the barbican with the town but it had only one arch.
Wisteria, thought beautiful is an extremely invasive species. This huge vine has tangled itself into the bows of this conifer.

Info:
Staten Island is a borough of New York City in the southwest part of the city. Staten Island is separated from New Jersey by the Arthur Kill and the Kill Van Kull, and from the rest of New York by New York Bay. With a population of 487,407, Staten Island is the least populated of the five boroughs but is the third largest in area at 59 sq mi (153 km2).
The Borough of Staten Island is coextensive with Richmond County, the southernmost county in the state of New York. Until 1975, the borough was officially named the Borough of Richmond. Staten Island has been sometimes called "the forgotten borough" by inhabitants who feel neglected by the city government.
Staten Island is overall the most suburban of the five boroughs of New York City. The North Shore, especially the neighborhoods of St. George, Tompkinsville, Park Hill, and Stapleton, is the most urban part of the island; it contains the officially designated St. George Historic District and The St. Paul’s Avenue-Stapleton Heights Historic District, which feature large Victorian homes. The South Shore has more suburban-style residential neighborhoods and is home to the two and one-half mile long F.D.R. Boardwalk, the fourth longest in the world. Historically, the central and southern sections of the island were once dominated by dairy and poultry farms, almost all of which disappeared in the 20th century.
The borough is accessible to Brooklyn via the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and to New Jersey via the Goethals Bridge, Outerbridge Crossing, and Bayonne Bridge. Staten Island has Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) bus service and an MTA rapid transit line, the Staten Island Railway, which runs from the ferry terminal at St. George to Tottenville. The free Staten Island Ferry connects the borough to Manhattan and is a popular tourist attraction, providing views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and lower Manhattan.

not sure what we call it but I think it's spoondrift invasion because of the storm and waves at Cap d'Espoir.
It's been a long time since I've taken a landscape shot and recently, after rain that had come down all day finally stopped, and a low fog began to rise, I grabbed my gear, jumped in my car and headed to the lake thinking there might be a shot waiting to be taken...
.
That's the vibe that I get when he looks at me that way. :|
heheh
I always apologize, but he just only stares at me...

This two wheeled cart with a foldable cover is called a gig. Something I had been dabbling around with in the last days to have something to go with that friends horse I found in the garbage some weeks ago.

To James, thanks for the thoughts exchanged, your long friendship and for making me think all the time. A big hug.
More exchange of ideas in the description of the set, just updated today.
Bullfrogs are not native to Utah and are highly invasive organisms. They will literally eat anything they can tackle including any other amphibians, fish, rodents andr even baby snakes. They have replaced Woodhouse toads and Northern Leopard frogs in a lot of our lowland habitat around the Great Sale Lake and its tributaries. I admire them for the predator that they are but detest them for their invasiveness into our landscape and the harm they do to native wildlife. Thus I have a very different reaction to seeing one east of the Continental divide where they are native than I do west of it where they are invasive.
Every summer we get an invasion of these tiny creatures. They appear to come from inside a metal garden table. As you can see they number in the thousands and are about the size of a grain of sand.

The dead remains of frosty Kudzu give the derelict-looking Sunbright, VA, church a temporary release of the plant's invasive grasp as eastbound CSX empty coal train U090-26 curves around the top of the Sunbright grade before making its way down yet again on the morning of January 30, 2021.
"Yellow flag-iris (Iris pseudacorus) is an eye-catching perennial that creates dense stands in wet areas, excluding native wetland species and threatening plant and animal diversity. Yellow flag-iris invades ditches, irrigation canals, marshes, stream and lake shorelines, and shallow ponds.". -bcinvasives.ca
