I'm not sure how appropriate it is to name a photo of a reflection on the back of a motorcycle helmet this, but it is the first thing that came to mind.

Theme : Introspection... Launching Pad for New Dynamism

Approach :

To clearly portray a gradually developing journey the Bank has begun, which will lead to a new era in banking in Sri Lanka. We were required to portray the basis of the Bank's initiatives, as well as the initiatives themselves and to offer a glimpse of 'what is to come', from Sampath Bank.

My goal was to use a reflective surface to highlight the subject, and wanted to light to almost silhouette the glass. Unfortunately, this made lighting the picture difficult, as I needed to find a balance between the bright outer sheen of the cup and concealing the undesirable reflections on its surface. Additionally, the angle at which I took the photo was limited because the surface itself was only about 6x10 square inches, and I didn't want my actual light source (a window above the glass) to be reflected. I used editing software to try to make the image a little brighter.
