"An Evening with John Batchelor" at the Times Square Hard Rock Cafe on Tuesday Oct 26 from 9p-midnight.
For nearly a decade now I have been a listener and fan of John Batchelor, the only talk radio host I'll listen to, or is worth listening to, precisely because he is so unlike talk radio and his peers. He is literate and intelligent and respectful – and the way he reports and analyzes everything from foreign policy and economics to modern science and american history, is akin to Homer spinning his ancient tales of old. Compelling, to say the least. Or as I like to call it: "Story Time for Grown Ups" (only the stories are real). So you can imagine how much of a thrill it was to see him live and in person doing what he does best.
Introduction to Algebra Mathematics is a kind of subject without which any of the class syllabus is not furnished. It's the important topic and also the includes complex part of studies every time. Today we are going to take you on the ride of your journey throughout the schooling with mathematics but mainly we will discuss one of the mathematical branch rather than whole math content. Today's highlighted branch is Algebra, so let us start first with what Algebra is all about then go through the content which students need to learn till class 12th from their starting line. Algebra is preferred to be used as a tool to solve complex optimized techniques of solving mathematical queries. The problem is that Algebra is very vast itself, so until students not get aware from whole algebra concept till then he is not able to use its fundamentals as tool. Initial classes of students include introduction part of algebra and as they move towards their upper classes Algebra problems evaluation is the target for students and finally when they reach to 10 +2 class, that time their total past learning of algebra is needed to br compiled in a single form to implement the principles and formulas together in other applications solving.

Leland introducing Rush to some youngsters. We were at the mid-week concert. Lots of kids would stop by to see the dogs. The little girl's name was Madison - it was her "birthday" (she said it was, mom said it is next week).
Mom dove who, along with the Mr., has nested in our artificial tree.....several feet from the back door... for 8 years....photo taken through the window and screen. Spring has been so early this year, I wouldn't be surprised if there were 4 nestings.

This aerial photograph tells the story. Hurricane Andrew did not ravage all neighborhoods equally.
Wood-framed houses in Country Walk, at the top of the photo, were devastated.
The more flimsy Dadeland Mobile Home Park, just below it, was leveled. Roger Homes, to the right, were severely damaged.
Houses in Mediterranea, below the mobile home park, were badly damaged.
But the concrete-block Munne Estates, the houses with the distinctive red-tiled roofs, survived the storm relatively intact.
The pattern was repeated throughout South Dade. Damage followed the rigid lines of subdivisions, not the whimsy of wind. Construction quality and design largely determined the degree of hurricane damage.

I received a letter yesterday in the mail from my cousin Heather. When I opened it up a handful of photographs fell out on the table. When I picked them up to look, I started to cry. These photos mean more to me than I think she will ever know.
Here my Mom is with my cousin Heather introducing my new kitten to our parakeet Zisa.......this is the photo that made me loose it........this is just SO how I remember my Mother.
SALKANTAY
Introduction
When thinking about Trekking Machu Picchu, the first thing that comes to mind is the Inca Trail Trek.
Because of excessive crowds the Peruvian government decided not only to limit daily access but also to impose strict Inca Trail Regulations. We understand how frustrating it is to not be able to get a permit because you didn't book 4 months in advance and there are no permits left.
The famous Salkantay Trek (or Salcantay Trek), recently named among the 25 best Treks in the World, by National Geographic Adventure Travel Magazine is a trek open to everybody, with no limitation on spaces or permits. Connecting the city of Cusco with Machu Picchu, The Salkantay Trek is an ancient and remote footpath located in the same region as the Inca Trail where massive snowcapped mountains collide with lush tropical rain forests. Located less than fifty miles northwest of the city of Cuzco in south central Peru by the Cordillera Vilcabamba and rising to 6271 meters above sea level (20574 ft) Mt. Salkantay is an outstanding glacier-capped summit worshipped for thousands of years by local indians. The name Salkantay is a quechua word meaning "Savage Mountain". Our classic Salkantay trek is a custom-designed alternative to the traditional Inca Trail. Off the beaten path, this is a cutting edge experience for adventure travelers looking for a little more privacy and authenticity. This is a scanned print from a collection of photographs taken by the late Jim Taylor A number of years ago I was offered a large number of photographs taken by Jim Taylor, a transport photographer based in Huddersfield. The collection consisted of 30,000 prints,20,000 negatives – and copyright! Although some prints were sold elsewhere, particularly the popular big fleet stuff, I should have the negatives, unfortunately they came to me in a random mix, without any sort of indexing and as such it would be impossible to match negatives to prints, or, to even find a print of any particular vehicle. I have only ever looked at a handful myself unless I am scanning them.
I hope to avoid posting images that Jim had not taken his self, however should I inadvertently infringe another photographers copyright, please inform me by email and I will resolve the issue immediately. There are copyright issues with some of the photographs that were sold to me. A Flickr member from Scotland drew my attention to some of his own work amongst the first uploads of Jims work. I had a quick look through some of the 30 boxes of prints and decided that for the time being the safest thing for me to do was withdraw the majority of the earlier uploaded scans and deal with the problem – which I did. whilst the vast majority of the prints are Jims, there is a problem defining copyright of some of them, this is something that the seller did not make clear at the time. I am reasonably confident that I have since been successful in identifying Jims own work.
You may notice photographs being duplicated in this Album, unfortunately there are multiple copies of many prints (for swapping) and as I have to have a system of archiving and backing up I can only guess - using memory - if I have scanned a print before. It is easier to scan and process a print than check my files - on three different PC's - for duplicates. There has not been, nor will there ever be, any intention to knowingly breach anyone else's copyright. I have presented the Jim Taylor collection as exactly that-The Jim Taylor Collection- his work not mine, my own work is quite obviously mine. To anyone reading the above it will be quite obvious that I can’t provide information regarding specific photos or potential future uploads in this Album – I didn't take them!

Zagreb is thoroughly modern and beautiful, with a livelier local crowd, fresh markets, and more hidden gems than Prague or Budapest. The Plitvice Lakes are one of the most awesome national parks we have visited so far. And Dubrovnik is like stepping back into the 1400s, all rocky hillside, stone streets, towering city walls, and Mediterranean blue sea. We would love to come back here.

Welcome to the Count of Monte Cristo Walking Tour. This tour takes you through the locations in Paris that play a significant role in Alexandre Dumas' novel “The Count of Monte Cristo.”
This tour covers a broad area within Paris so Metro stations are also identified, and sometimes recommended, rather than walking the entire route. The Père Lachaise cemetery is not covered in this tour due to its distance, but is a wonderful cemetery to tour separately.
Food and drink is readily available all along this tour so it is not identified uniquely with one exception.
