In 1940 - 1941 before the 2nd WW - I used to walk these walls going from somewhere at the back of St Ignacios Church, from Calle Anda to Manila Cathedral - but not up to Fort Santiago, using the walkways on top of the walls. We resided at that time right across St Ignacios Church at Calle Arzobispo.
