We built this bigger brooder in the barn to house my growing chickens and get them out of the house. It is made out of two cheapass laminate bookcases we were going to throw out and about $40 in lumber and brackets. Reuse, recycle, repurpose, etc.

Well, it's not just the ISO and aperture. The first time I photographed this group, everyone was basically in street clothes, with a particular emphasis on black, which is not optimal for my D50 at ISO1600, especially not when underexposing. This time around, all the girls seem to have brought more midtones and colors!
