As I was driving out of the park, a car stopped in the middle of the road. I wasn't sure if they needed help or if they saw something interesting. When I looked to my right, I had the answer, something interesting. We usually call these stops bear jams when we visit parks, but this time it was a long horned sheep jam. I only had one lens with me, so I pulled out the camera and took a couple of landscape views out of the truck window.
This was the only wildlife I had seen the whole trip. If there would've been a pull out, I would've stopped and taken out my D500 with my big lens, but it wasn't meant to happen this trip. Next time I visit here, I'm going to keep my eyes looking out for these guys and hope I'm in a better place to shoot.

Zen is the Japanese variant of Chán, a school of Mahayana Buddhism which strongly emphasizes dhyana c.q. concentration-meditation. This gives insight into ones true nature, or the emptiness of inherent existence, which opens the way to a liberated way of living.:credit-wikipedia

Middle daughter says he reminds her of the movie the Grudge and gives her the creeps. Granddaughter always stops and says "Hi Kid" whenever she passes him.
He is roughly circa 1900. He was a wedding gift to my great grandmother and great grandfather.
He lived at my home as young girl as my dad is their oldest grandson and he acquired him.
His little fan has been repaired by my dad due to breakage over the years . At the time I always thought it was a HUGE lollipop he was holding.
Yes, I "lopped" his head off when "practicing and practicing", but it is very befitting for him. You see, when I was small, I was playing hockey with my cousin Al in the house. The stick swung back to make a slap shot and it gave him (the wise old doll) an injury. Some goalie he turned out to be...out with an injury before the season even got underway!
My dad had him repaired back to his original state by taking in the salvaged pieces in and, I assume, an old photo of him as well. The person who repaired him thought he looked unnatural without eyelashes and so they were painted on. My dad hated it and always wanted to "Paint them off".
I still love him the just the same. He's part of my heritage :-)
Right now I am nursing a terrible head and chest cold so I will have my doll check your new photos for me.
For privacy, someone chose to surround their exclusive country estate with a soybean field and a 7-foot iron-bar fence. Oh, and did I forget to mention the security camera at the front gate?
A mild and sunny Saturday in East-Westpahilia encouraged us to start our mill-project. Our area is covered with more than 40 mills, perfectly restored and maintenanced by volunteers. Our goal is to picture the most beautiful of them in the next couple of weeks. We finished the day with a breathtaking sunset lakeside in Bad Oeynhausen.

“There you are Barnaby; I think the man was looking for you so he can try and take our picture.” Said Posh Bear smiling as young Barnaby climbed up on the sofa to be with his friends.
“He’ll find me when he looks through that picture taking thingy he has. I have been talking to Ellie again.”
“What did Ellie have to say for herself? I thought she was going to fly to Cambridge or Australia.” Said Sky
“She was Sky, but she got lost just outside the car park again. She said she is going to think about it first. Ellie did go up high in the air though, I think she enjoys doing that.”
“Yes, I have seen her do that a few times myself.” Said Bertie nodding his head in agreement.
“Ellie was telling me that she likes to go up nice and high so she can see the whole world going round and round.”
“Really? I didn’t know the world went round and round.” Said Bertie looking startled by this piece of news.
“Well, you wouldn’t, Bertie, only clever bears and genius bears like Sky, know things like that. Us less clever ones still have a lot to learn.”
“Did you know the world is going round and round, Sky?” Asked Bertie.
“I thought everyone knew that, Bertie. It must have just slipped your memory.” He replied.
“What I couldn’t work out, Sky, is if the world is going round and round why are us bears not dizzy and falling over all the time. Yet, if I spin around a few times, I then fall over because I become dizzy.” Asked Barnaby looking at his hero to supply the answer.
“It is a little complicated for a bear of your size, Barnaby. Could you think of an easy way to answer this question, Posh?”
“No, Sky, it is all beyond me, why don’t you explain?” Said Posh Bear smiling.
“Ellie didn’t know and yet she told me she was a genius, but I told her she was nowhere near as clever as you, Sky and you are a genius, so she can’t be. I did say that I thought she was quite clever for a pink elephant that was very old, verging on ancient. I don’t think she appreciated me telling her that for she gave a hump sound then lay down and went to sleep.” Explained Barnaby looking surprised at what had happened.
“I don’t think you should have told Ellie she was old, verging on ancient, Barnaby.” Said Posh Bear.
“But, it is against the rules to tell lies, Posh, you said so.” Argued Barnaby.
Tag the tiger looked about trying to follow this conversation and failing.
“It is all down to speed, Barnaby, this rotation stuff.” Said Sky changing the subject. “You see the world moved very slowly, it takes whole day to go all the way around, from one sleep to another in fact. When you spin around you go fast and it is that that makes you dizzy and fall over. Is that not right, Posh Bear?” Said Sky feeling very important to have explained so well.
“You could be right, Sky, I have never thought about it.” Replied Posh Bear still wondering about Ellie.
“I agree with you, Posh, it is a little unkind to tell Ellie that, even if it is true.” Said Bertie.
“I agree, I think we should all go and see her and tell her that even though she is old and falling apart, we are still her friends.” Said Sky looking around for agreement.
“Yes, I suppose so, on reflection, maybe I was a littler harsh.” Said Barnaby. “Let us all go and see her and tell her because we are her best friends we’ll all come to the moon at the weekend with her and she can fly downside up all the way?”
Barnaby looked around expecting agreement but all he saw was slightly flustered bears.
“It would be a shame to wake her up if she is sleeping, perhaps we could do that, or something else later on.” Said Posh Bear and the others agreed.
“Posh that is very confusing for a little bear like me?” Said Barnaby.
“Why is that, Barnaby?”
“You said it would be a shame to wake her up if she was sleeping.”
“Yes, that is right.”
“How could you wake her up if she was not sleeping? You see Posh, it is things like that which stop me from being a genius, like my best friend ever, Sky.”
“Little bear, you have a long way to go before you even reach clever, and Sky has even further to go before he reaches the cleverness level of Posh. It takes time and learning, not something that a young bear should rush.” Said Bertie smiling at Posh Bear who he knew had plenty of jars of honey left.
“I never did understand bears… strange creatures. Why didn’t he just ask for the honey?” Thought Tag the tiger.

I have been looking at clouds over the past few days to build up a library of them. I started to take pictures just of clouds and this one looked rather drammatic, even more so after I had a play with it in photoshop. I don't do a great deal manipulations like this, but it certainly is dramatic.

The Milky Way Galaxy or just Milky Way is a spiral galaxy in which the Solar System is found and therefore the Earth. According to the observations, has a mass of 1012 solar masses and is a barred spiral; with an average diameter of about 100,000 light years, they are about 1 trillion km, is estimated to contain between 200,000 million and 400,000 million stars. The distance from the Sun to the center of the galaxy is about 27,700 light (8.500 pc, ie 55 percent of the total galactic radio) years. The Milky Way is part of a group of about forty galaxies called the Local Group, and is the second largest and brightest after the Andromeda Galaxy (although it may be the most massive, a recent study by showing that our galaxy is 50% more massive than previously believed.
What's this, an invitation? To the Annual Fund-Raiser's Ball? Sanura stared at the invitation in her hand, all white and pristine. "Why would I get such an invitation?" She asks herself. "I'm not rich, nor do I have social standings in that community." She continues to stare at the invitation, a look of bewilderment on her face. The name on the card was definitely hers. How though, and why? She just could not understand why she would be invited to such a high end event. At any rate it was her name, and it looked official. Now her only problem, a dress. How could she afford a formal dress? On her salary, it was just impossible ...
Two days till the Ball and still no dress, "I guess I just won't go." Sanura tells herself. She turns her head to the knock at her door, moving to the door quickly. She opens the door to find a delivery man standing there, with a sizable package in his hand.
"Your name Sanura?" the man asks. When she nods, he replies. "Good sign here please," as he hands her a clipboard.
Sanura signs the paper, asking. "What is it?" When the man doesn't answer, but only offers a shrug of his shoulders; she nods a farewell and closes the door. She rushes to the couch to open the package, and gasps at what she sees. A beautiful white, silky formal dress. She holds it up to herself and twirls around, then sways back and forth as if she were dancing with someone. Wait, she thinks to herself; who could have sent this to me? She searches the box for a card, or something that might tell her who would give her such and expensive dress. Nothing, not a single clue, as to who ...
Is the night of the ball, and there is the cab. Time to go Sanura, she tells herself. She takes one last look at herself and with a satisfied nod, heads to the cab.
The entire way there, things ran through her mind. Like, why me, who would wish me there? What if it's a mistake? Will they throw me out? Maybe I should just have the cabby turn the car around. When she arrives at the large mansion, all her thoughts just fly out the window. As a child she had always dreamed of living in such a large beautiful home. Now to be able to actually visit one, to be at a regal party inside one. All she could do was look in awe at the building before her. When the cabby spoke she nearly jumped out of her skin. She payed the guy, and stepped out of the car, walking slowly to the entrance ...
Two hours had passed, and Sanura had been having the time of her life. She danced with numerous men, some young, some old, and some around her own age. She didn't mind, she was just happy to be here. She ate some of the finest gourmet food she had ever tasted before. Talked with some of the most interesting people she had ever met. Now she was standing, sort of in a corner, just taking it all in. She had been watching a couple, that appeared to her to be from India possibly; their attire surely caused that assumption. When out of the corner of her eye, she saw him. He was absolutely gorgeous, shoulder length black hair. Bright blue eyes, that she could see from clear across the room. A well styled and kept goatee, and what looked to be a very expensive tux. His eyes, those ice blue eyes. They seemed to look straight through her, and a shiver ran right down her spine. The dream played in reverse in her mind, and she barely took a breath. Was this her dream, was this man from the dream? Surely she was in her bed at this very moment, and this was nothing more then that very dream. The panic she felt was more then enough to make her run. She ran straight through the crowd and down the long steps, to the street, where she caught the first cab that stopped. When she reached her apartment, she slammed the door, leaning against it. Her breathing was so fast and heavy, her chest was rising and falling as if she had ran a mile straight. When she had finally calmed herself and made her way to her room, she rested her head on her pillow, closing her eyes; hoping this night would be different. "Please, not tonight." The only words whispered in the still of her darkened room, as she fell into a restless sleep ...
