Scripps Networks Interactive hosts its annual Summer Event for employees, contractors and interns at its Knoxville Campus on August 22, 2013. This year’s theme is Tailgate Party and featured tailgating food prepared by the Food Network Kitchen - Knoxville, collegiate colors and lots of team spirit as our company celebrates summer and the beginning of football season in East Tennessee.

this is a fairly much scrap lifted page from interact this! day four i think, without the adorable baby photo! these papers are from my cocoa daisy kit, and i have gotten the butterflies out to use on a couple of pages now and this was the one!!! i love how it turned out. the photo of my page, not so much! the paper has a beautifully detailed scalloped edge i wanted to show off as i will leave it as is without background.

This is the first of a series of two-layered quilts. I was working professionally at the time developing training materials, some of which were multimedia. I asked myself how could I create an interactive quilt, with which the viewer could directly interface. Thus was born the interactive series. Also at this time, I had a brush with melanoma which caused me to reflect deeply on my artistic endeavors and to take a step into a new arena – this quilt was that step. The top embellished piece lifts to reveal a second quilt underneath with a black and white embroidered flower. This quilt has won several awards in the Contemporary category.

OK - so I have a confession. When I said my camera was broken what I actually meant was that all the auto functions had stopped. It's still actually functioning as a camera....
So the latest selection of pictures (and there's going to be a few) are my first ever attempts at doing EVERYTHING like focus and exposure and shutter speed and aperture and all that techie stuff.
Bear with me. I'm having to learn fast.
