Things like this can happen even in a quite renown design education institution, well maybe it's because the people at Interaction Design are about to test an innovative tele-transportation system. In the meanwhile the debate is whether the activation system shoud respond to the key sentence: "Beam me up Scotty"

Ajax and the Lightbox effect gone bad. Rent.com forces me to "create a password" to "keep my activities private" - when all I'm doing is trying to browse. Plus, they remind me that I haven't claimed my $100 reward. I have no way to continue until I fill in that password. The funny thing is, on the initial landing page for this property, I explicitly told them that I didn't want any $100 reward. Come on eBay, you can do better than this.

This is a slide from the talk we gave at Open Source Bridge in Portland in June, 2011. In this talk we take a practical look at the design process and techniques everyone should know.
How many product ideas never make it to market? Some failure is OK, but why does it happen so often? We don’t believe it’s because of bad ideas. We believe that teams are missing a holistic approach to design for people, inside and outside the organization.

Susanna and I invited speakers to an Interaction Design seminar. Priya Prakash was one of the invited speakers. I had such fun at lunch with her - she's great fun with lots of ideas.
Pumpkins and Ice Cream! We had a great time carving pumpkins and eating ice cream with the entire ZURB family. Each year our festivities grow- we had eight kids this year!

An annotation system had been developped. The following proposition aims to integrate it in a simple way.
The anotation system would be valuated as a part of the comment system for the user.
Merging a new functionalitiy to an existing one avoid to create more and more complexity on the tool.
Usability Test participant. Tests conducted using Morae by Techsmith, making a video/audio record of the session and logging keystrokes, mouse movements, and clicks. I may add annotations (tester got confused, tester asked a question, etc.) in real-time or after the test is completed, and compile and analyze statistics based on the annotations.
Useful for situations where even a percent done progress indicator isn’t long enough.

I was trying to put through an order for some fantastic shoe boxes to hold my knee high boots, when I got this interesting error.
I like the friendly tone, but the message didn't really make much sense. The error appeared on a separate page to the actual form, and the label of the fields do not actually match the labels used in the error message.
