An Alaska Army National Guard UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter assigned to the 207th Aviation Troop Command, and a U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter from Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One prepare for departure during the Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course 2-24 at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., March 26, 2024. During the first half of the seven-week school, two Army Black Hawk aircrews have flown an intensive schedule of simulated combat missions with U.S., allied and opposing force fixed wing and rotary aircraft. The training iteration marked the first time that conventional U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk aircrews participated in the highly competitive and rigorous joint training course that integrates all Marine aviation assets, ground forces, command and control systems, logistics and air defense. Workshop: Pet Portraits in Glass

Date: Monday, June 27, 2016 from 6-10pm

Instructor: Betsy Mead

Create a portrait of your favorite pet using glass frit powder while you learn the basic concepts of fused glass. Bring (or submit electronically to the instructor ahead of time) two black and white copies of a favorite pet photo that will fit within an 8" x 8" square. You will use that to trace, cut and powder a portrait of your faithful companion. The instructor will bring your powdered images home, fire them and return them to the gallery where you can pick them up at a later time.

This workshop is a part of Grown Ups Art Camp 2016!

Poor instructor. He had to take up a complete newbie who didn't speak a whole lot of english, thus "Let it go!" turned into "Bleh I'm gonna trip you now."
