Charlie is one of my riding instructor's ponies. He is also partly mine. He is special and quirky and I love him to bits and pieces, and I should think you will see a fair amount of him from now on.
(All credit to my mum for this photograph, but I love it so much!)
I've been away for a while, Flickr, but you'll be seeing more of me now. Let me explain:
Those of you who know my sister, Rosa Joy might know that two years ago she developed a project that she called One Hundred Days of Summer. This year, I am completing that same project. The idea is that you take a photograph every single day from 1st June to 8th September - one hundred days across the summer. She did it the year she left sixth form college; a couple of weeks ago I left my high school. Very few of my friends are attending my college next year. I will pick up my camera and write about what has happened every day. Not every photograph will be stunning, not every sentence shaped to perfection, but this project is more for me than anyone else, and that’s okay.
I have six exams over the next two weeks, and then over eleven weeks of summer holiday. Next year is a time for new people and new memories, but September is nearly one hundred days away. There is revision to do and fun to be had - and above all, pictures to be made and stories to be told. My boyfriend and I broke up yesterday, and I’m glad I have something else to focus on. I can’t tell you how excited I am about this. Not only will it make me pick up my camera continuously - I will be forced to creativity and bound to pen and paper. There are certainly worse ideas to be shackled to.
Rosa's summer onehundred can be seen here.
